In your experience, have you had success with safelists and traffic exchanges like Traffic ad bar?

I wouldn't go for them. Most are a waste of time because they are spammy. They don't get that much traffic and the traffic you do get isn't targeted and won't make much difference.

I'd prefer to do an email exchange with someone...meaning that I'd love for them to email their list my offer and I'd do the same in return. But I have yet to find anyone in my niche with a list even close to mine so its never worked...I just keep building lists with a similar niches and email them all my offers at different times!

I tried most famous traffic exchanges for long time and I can say after my experience that they are very weak or useless in getting good and targeted traffic.

Guys... how can a traffic source that has been out there for over 10 years be useless?

Don't say Traffic Exchanges are useless... say: I don't know how to get results from them.

Fact is, that Traffic Exchanges convert less than other traffic methods, but in return the traffic is much cheaper... where you pay $7 for 1000 visitors from Traffic Exchanges, you pay maybe $100 for 1000 visitors from Google Adwords.

Fact is, that you must either use a Splash Page or a Squeeze Page in Traffic Exchanges to get good results. A good Squeeze Page should get you between 3 and 10 signups for every 1000 visitors in Traffic Exchanges.

Fact is, that the people who use Traffic Exchanges are NOT all freebie seekers... most Traffic Exchanges have between 1% and 5% upgraded members... these are paying customers who can also spend money on your site.

Finally, give the traffic exchange surfers what they want, and that is: free traffic and free internet marketing knowledge.

        What he said.

But yea, what Guido says is spot on.

Quietly, there are a lot people making a killing with traffic exchanges and safelists.

        This.

The main reason that people bitch about traffic exchanges is because they don't know how to correctly utilise them!

There are products out there that will literally walk you by the hand on how to successfully use traffic Xchanges...

        Have a dig around.

It is always best to learn from people who:

        a) Know what they are doing

        And

        b) Are actively involved in using current traffic exchanges.

They will know the up to date methods and info.

        Peace

I built a list of over 50,000 subscribers from them, that buy everything from $10 ebooks to $5000 coaching packages.

Read alexa's and Guido's replys to get at least a basic understanding of to do the same.

    Robert

PS: they are best used for the MMO niche

PPS: dont surf for your traffic buy it like PPV campaigns

I have stopped using Traffic Exchanges for many years. Also it is the number one enemy for Google Adsense because you will get the ban. Traffic from them are not real traffic and I would say almost everyone I know of uses Adsense. So you can just imagine just how many people use Traffic Exchanges.

Yes that is correct dont put your adsense site into a traffic exchange and expect to keep your adsense account.

Are traffic exchanges the best way to get traffic? well really depends on your niche and what you are doing with that traffic.

If you are sending people to a long sales page no its not going to work.

If you look at a traffic exchange as it was mentioned earlier a huge list of newer marketers trying to figure out how to get traffic to their offers and target your product correctly to that audience. And build a list then it is a great traffic source.

There are thousands of new members coming into traffic exchanges every week, so if you are looking for a fresh source of new marketers ready to learn then there you go.

If how ever you are trying to make money with adsense or selling crafts or berry juice or what have you then no they are not going to work well for you.

But you shouldnt say they are useless, only useless for your what you are doing.

Traffic Exchanges are probably wasting your time.

Go for targeted traffic and get it through content and keywords.

Consider what most people that are viewing websites in a traffic exchange are looking for.

For the most part, I would say something free. If your goal is to attract visitors by giving out some sort of free gift, then you may find some success in a traffic exchange. If your page is promoting a product then you probably won't have much luck.

Just remember that most people using traffic exchanges are looking for something free.
