Backlink Analyser for keywords

Hi Warriors,

I am in need of a piece of software that can give me accurate information regarding the number of backlinks a site (or url) may have when reviewing competition related to a specific keyword.

SEO Powersuite (Spyglass) does this, but only for the competition in No1 position. Cherry Picker also does this perfectly, but only showing results on Google globally - and i need to be able to change search engines (mainly Google.co.uk). Cherry Picker would be perfect for my needs if you could change the settings to analyse results in different search engines.

Does anybody have any recommendations of such a tool? Basically, all i need is to be able to insert my keywords, change the SE to Google.co.uk and get the total number of backlinks (along with details of those backlinks inc PR) that go both to that page (ie keyword specific) and to the domain as a whole.

The purpose is really to discover how many links (approx) and of what quality will be needed to outrank any of top 10 sites (taking into account all factors are equal - such as on-site SEO etc)

Your help would be very much appreciated

    Jon,
    Spyglass will do what you want. Here is how: take the keyword you wish to rank well for and plug in in the SE you wish to rank well in for that keyword.
    IE> Google US or what ever
    Get your results and pick the position you are shooting for. Let's say you know 1, 2,3 are out of reach for now but you are wondering what it would take to break into the top five. So take the URL of the 5 spot and fire up spyglass.
    Plug it in the 2nd option, analyze URL and run. Soon you will have your backlink data. If you don't have spyglass yet, I would be willing to do one report for you for free and send it to you. Just PM me. Hope this helps.
