Is this just a Google Dance?

Hi guys, for about 2 months, I've been #3 or #4 for my broad keyword, and I've been #1 for the Exact keyword.

Since yesterday morning, I've been #2 for my exact keyword, and nowhere to be seen for my broad keyword (Not in first 30 pages)

So I'm not de-indexed or anything, I've just vanished from the broad keyword search.

When this has happened before it lasted a few hours and went back to normal. It's been over 24 hours now, which is weird. Just a dance?

Google has actually changed their algorithm since a couple of weeks ago. They now don't just rank your site for content and inbound links but have added a third variable called Activity. They have code named this "caffiene" check it out.

So a lot of people have been noticing that their sites are slidding down the search pages

Sounds like it is moving up and down alright. It should settle down - but might take between 3 - 6 months !

I experienced it a bit last weekend on one site, before it came back on Monday for one of my sites.

Now two of my other sites are doing the exact same thing. One keyword search has been out for at least 4 days which is extremely frustrating!

      • Just to let you guys know, I'm now #2 for Broad and #1 for Exact.

Google approves my white hat techniques
