Need someone to point me in the direction getting press coverage
Hey everyone. I am in need of direction to learn more about doing press releases effectively. Now, I'm not talking about the method that is talked about 99% on this forum with submission sites etc.
I need to more in depth description on best practices with one on one contact with newspapers, talk radio shows, and local news stations.
I know a while back, probably about 8 months ago there was a post by a well known Warrior. I haven't been here in a while and can't remember his name exactly. I think it had something related to Sterli in the name. But anyways, he had given a good approach on the right way to fax your press releases and contact the reporters to get a better chance of them writing up a story on it.
If anyone knows where that post is, let me know. I can't find it anywhere. I have done press releases the typical IM way for months with submitting to all the submission sites online...paid and free. But, there is a much better way of going about it for much more targeted and local traffic. I'm not caring about backlinks and getting indexed quickly.
I am building my local consulting firm and looking for a little press time before my book release next month and my seminars starting in December.
