Hey Guys,

Ever have a Million Dollar idea pop into your head
only to disappear forever?

This happens to me on a regular basis.

I also forget to do stuff, forget appointments etc.

I think I have Entrepreneurial ADD

So here's what I started doing recently ...

1- I keep a digital voice recorder with me all the time

2- Whenever anything pops into my head i speak it into the recorder

3 - Most Important - I empty the Recorder frequently (at least once
a day) and put everything into a Task Manager like Outlook. I assign
a category of Immediate. Within the Week. Within the Month and
Long Term

4 - I print out the list every morning

Since zi started doing this I find I accomplish a lot more and things
don't fall through the cracks

Hope that is helpful

P.S. #3 and #4 are Critical, I have used the Digital recorder for
awhile but would often let things stay on there for weeks or months
at a time. You MUST EMPTY the recorder everyday and categorize
and prioritize tasks

    Unfortunately, one too many times.
I haven't quite graduated to high-tech devices like a voice recorder, but I do have a pen and paper that I keep nestled under my passenger seat, in the event that something pops into my head during a long drive somewhere. (this is when it usually occurs...lol)....I've been known to pull off to the side of the road, if the thought becomes THAT complex and overwhelming...

What I USED to do was write things on little pieces of paper

      and then lose them

    Hi Jack,

    Great idea.

I carry a small notepad and pen. I put my ideas into hardcopy the moment I receive them. I have my laptop with me most of the time, I will log in and get to work on the thought impulse immediately.

I call this SIS: Stillborn Idea Syndrome. The Rx is to record ideas immediately, because thoughts are airy and transient. Here one moment gone the next.

I use Things on my iPhone. Syncs with my Macs. Works out nicely. Still like my idea pad though, I carry that everywhere...

Great idea. Currently I am using notepad as my laptop is alway with me.

Maybe I should consider using digital voice recorder. Thank you for sharing.

I scribble my ideas on my small notebook. And sometimes I take a quick note using my phone (send a sms to myself) then transfer to my notebook from time to time.
