only trashy warriors cancel their trial offers

Hey Warriors...

Check out this response my brother just received from a backlinking vendor here at WF when my brother canceled his account with him before the trial ended.

Boy how I wish I could give you his name and website address as this dude needs to be called out big time. But alas I cannot.

After I checked his trial out I canceled it quickly as it was NOTHING as advertised so I took my money and spent it elsewhere on the forum.

I warned my brother about the service but he signed up anyways as the trial offer was only $5.

When my brother canceled this is the reply he received:

"You are a pile of garbage. I knew you were going to do just like your brother did and cancel and I told you it in an email. Now I am going to expose what apile of human trash you are!"

What a joke.

Instead of taking the time to fix his service he goes this route.

Maybe with a little luck he'll jump in on this thread to call me a pile of trash too.

That way I could tell him I just purchased $50 worth of domains with his name on them and that if he wants to play like a snake I can see some major backlinking taking place with those domains using his name as the anchor text keyword.

Best damn $50 I spent all day.

I have more faith, in some of the people, that have backlinks services then some guy who gets drunk on webcam, falls off his chair or ends up naked in front of his customers and peers.

I felt bad for him at first because he was getting a lot of bad reviews. But to counter with that type of attitude is just plain uncalled for.

I mean seriously, if it's a trial offer that's your one opportunity to make a great impression. He/She failed to do that and is a dick as well.

I know who the OP is referring to and I also know some of the problems which have occurred with the service and person he is referring to.

I certainly don't agree with the e-Mail, but one of the simple rules here on the WF and I quote:

The main overriding rule for this forum is this:

If you have a problem with another Warrior, a Guru, or God, take it up with them directly. Not here. No exceptions.
You can check this out for yourself by going here on the WF:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ing-forum.html

The reason I'm commenting on this thread is because I have used the service, talked one on one with the owner and he is making a very straight forward effort to get it back on line.

Perhaps we all could be a little more tolerant of someone who has a problem and perhaps by doing so, things can be worked out.

Ken you are right, and I am the first to call people out on a Rule #1 violation. However, I only do that when they specifiy who the person or company is. In this case, I truly have no clue.

That being said, you may be addressing one issue the OP mentions, and that is the part about the offending party "taking the time to fix his service", but nothing you have mentioned excuses such behavior from the seller.

      That's my two cents anywho.

Yes, it is wrong. There should be a space between the 'a' and 'p' in "apile"...:p

Seriously, though, I once bought a product from an ebook seller who later cheated a lot of folks. When I asked for a refund on the product, he sent me a reply accusing me of trying to cheat him. He had the brass to follow that paragraph with a request to be one of his affiliates.

That email taught me that he was rude, crooked and stupid. I got my refund from Clickbank anyway, and he didn't get my money when he ran his PLR scam.

Michael I hear you and Kim both and I understand where you are both coming from. I think the person who sent the e-Mail was way out of line to his/her customer (the OP), and I in no way was trying to make an excuse for him/her for writing that kind of e-Mail and sending to the OP or rather his brother.

No one should lose their cool with a customer/previous customer or at least put it in writing. Let's face it as a online marketeer we are are going to have customers who tick us off big time. Perhaps the lesson we can all learn here is write out a standard reply, that can be sent instead of sending a "Flame E-mail".

    Just my 2 cents too.

    Ken
P.S. I'm no saint as I have sent a "Flame" to a customer, it felt good at the time but it was uncalled for on my part. It just put me on the same level the customer was on. I'm better than that.

Oh, I got taken to task when I had joined a Warrior's membership site -- this person even encouraged me to download everything from previous months. I did -- and it wasn't up to par. Seriously. So, I canceled. And then I got a nasty PM. I wrote back with feedback as to why I canceled, but never heard back from the person again. I never even used any of the content. (Even if I had used the content, I would have been well within my rights, according to the TOS.)

Sure, some people take advantage of a free trial, but if somebody cancels and gives you legitimate feedback, you may need to look at how you're doing business.

    That's my two cents...

I never mentioned his name so quoting WF posting rules was a waste of your time but I thank you for it anyways. It's not that I wouldn't call him out mind you. But I value my membership here more than getting even publicly with this bozo. I'll just wait until he Googles his name in a week or so and communicate with him on that level. I bet I get his attention.

Haha Remind me never to mess with you...

I'm always shocked when I see threads like this exposing such Sellers. I don't know how you run businesses this way. Honestly I do get frustrated when I get refunds however I deal with it, take the feedback, fix it, optimize it but definitely never take it personal.

Then again sometimes when you're being flooded with refunds and charge backs especially when it comes from the same ip you do get stressed and suspicious. So everyone has their own reasons I guess we should learn to give people the benefit of the doubt. I struggle with that as well. It's easy to comment from a third party perspective but hard to put it in place.

Just wondering don't you find this personal feud a waste of your time. You could be spending this same time backlinking another site for a more profitable keyword? I know should someone call me such discriminatory words I would get frustrated and angered although I don't think it's worth going to such extend. Sorry just my thoughts; trying to save you some time.

I actually own my own network of 500 blog sites hosted on servers from across the globe so it's no trouble at all to spin a few articles and post them. Whole thing will take me less than 15 minutes to set up actually. The nutty part was that I actually purchased nearly $50 worth of domains today that were vendorsname.org, vendorsname.net and so forth. So it won't take any time for me to get the page one rankings for his name on several sites.

My wife rolled her eyes when she saw the domains come through and heard why I bought them. But she knows nobody messes with my younger brother. I mean nobody! Unless it's me of course.

Now I realize that investing money and time just to make a point to this guy may seem over the top and I admit it is. Especially now that I have simmered down a bit.

But the moral of the story is don't miff off an seo guy who owns his own network of blogs and plenty of time on his hands unless you already registered all the domains containing your name before doing so. Otherwise you may end up with a size 13 hitting your backside.

Now having said that I will transfer the domains over to him free of charge once he sends an email to my brother apologizing. Otherwise those sites are going to stay up there until I'm in the grave and my grand kids don't feel like paying for the hosting anymore on them.

        And then maybe.

Time? Yeah, maybe a little more when you, your hosting companies and/or domain registrant companies get legal papers.

Pooh !! I have cancelled a few trial offers, free ones, from going further. And I'm hardly trashy - give me value and I shall pay for the product/service as happy with a Fred with two F's in my ID. Cancellation of bad offers is a very normal thing to do.

The message you got is nonsense from a nonsense vendor - and now that you have let your heat out, ignore it and go ahead with your other work. Really, once you start outsourcing you shall realize that weirdos are not uncommone at all.

That's Mr. Tough Guy to you since we haven't been formally introduced. Not really trashing the dudes name on those sites either. My mother raised me a little better than that. Instead it's a personal note from me to him letting him know why I was miffed. I'm not even trashing his service on it. I'm making a point that you can't throw rocks in a pond without causing ripples. Btw...it was more than just one email he sent. It was actually several. Including phone calls. But I will take your two cents and tuck them under my pillow tonight and sleep soundly knowing they are there.

You might just wake up with a shiny nickel.

Why am I finding this story getting more and more absurd. Multiple phone calls and multiple emails over a $5 trial?

Haha...how often do you think people got into duels way back when. Plus what happened if they both missed, the firearms back then were not all that reliable. So both of them missing was entirely possible. Would they take the time to reload? If one reloaded first would he wait for the other guy to finish reloading too before he shot at him? Or would they just stand close enough where one of them was bound to hit the other?

The nutty part was that I actually purchased nearly $50 worth of domains today that were vendorsname.org, vendorsname.net and so forth.

Haha I wish you all the best with it. You seem very determined for a good cause I guess. Although it is a little over the top (Ok who am I kidding lol)

But at least you're doing it out of a moral stand point to protect your younger brother and willing to let it drop should he repent and mend his ways. I wish my brother would have been as defensive lol; quite the contrary for me.

          Regards,
          Benjamin

Let me guess, you've got all the domains registered for your brother's name too, right? Just in case...

I cancel with people all the time. In fact, I wish I did it more.

I remember one time I bought a trashy WSO that taught me how to make fake forum profiles on Tagged and spam people with affiliate links.

Boy do I wish I'd have gotten my money back for that.

Yes it is absurd. Dude was not happy we canceled the trial apparently. I was bummed before all that because the service looked very promising. But now even I have become bored with this topic and will quit whining about it.

The shiny nickel would be cool though.

But I dare you to knock this battery off my shoulder. Come on I dare you. In fact I double dawg dare you!

Now this is a bonafide tough guy.

Completely off-topic, but, believe it or not, the subject of batteries AND this exact Robert Conrad commercial came up in a chat group I am in.

      Thanks for the pic!

      All the best,

    Howdy

I ran into something like this awhile back. The difference was the person kept on trying to collect monies from folks after they had stopped providing the content (it really wasn't much good anyway). Then they got all bent out of shape, with nasty emails, pm's etc, when people TRIED to cancel

Not sure who this person is, but if their name does get out I imagine it will be difficult to overcome the bad publicity.

Seriously, whether a service is useful to some or waste to some, the owner shouldn't ever speak that way to one of his/her lost customers because it's unethical. Also, even if it seems normal for him/her to say that it's still not acceptable.

It's funny how a few hours sleep and a glance at a to do list a mile long how quickly I became uninterested in any of this nonsense. I think I'll just give him the domains and be done with it all. It's time to forgive and forget and of course...commerce.

You know what's funny. A trial offer is exactly that, a trial. You try it out, and if you don't like it, you cancel.

Apparently the person offering this doesn't understand what he's offering by a trial. It's not a membership, it's a test run.

It's like me going to the car dealership, taking out a porsche for a test drive, and then coming back, and the salesman already doing up the contracts, even though I might not be interested.

Sorry if thats a bad example, just trying.
