I want to warn members that there are some phishing emails hitting the mailboxes...purportedly from eNom, claiming that your site (unspecified) has incorrect info in the registration and that the site will be shut down unless the info is verified. The links in the email don't point to eNom but the linked page looks genuine, so it may suck some people in. Do NOT respond to that email! eNom is a registrar with a number of resellers, Namecheap is one of their resellers. As I know that many members use Namecheap, just be aware of the scam or it could cost you your domain name. If you respond to the email, you will end up giving access information to scammers. Enom DO NOT send emails directly to domain owners. Any contact they require is always sent through their resellers. Enom are currently working on closing the phishing sites down. I have identified four different domains that have been used, but there could be others. Alex |

I received that same email earlier today as well. I did the "mouse over" to verify that it wasn't from enom, and indeed it wasn't, as I'm paranoid now regarding "phishing". I always "mouse over" to verify authenticity.

Thank you for the warning, Alex. Suggestion - add onto the subject of this thread that it is a Enom/Namecheap Domain name email phishing warning .... be more visible to those of use that use those services. |

Yeah! I got $150 dollars stolen from me from a site that looked legit! So be careful WFers... luckily that found the person, but then he thought I took his money when it was someone else lol. And in the end i got my refund, so again, be aware.

I'm a starter, but I am willing to try everything I can to be a successful internet marketer and chase my dreams. If you can answer any of my questions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I don't click on links in email messages. I log into the accounts manually to see if any information is truly needed or if my account needs updating. TomG. |
