EBay Partner Network - worthwhile?

My application to the EBay Partner Network has just been rejected. Before I spend even more time re-applying I thought that I would ask here whether it really is worth it or are there better alternatives?

Thanks,

Clive

    Hi,

    It sure is.

It's hard to get into their program and you need a good quality site.

Yes it is, eBay is the biggest online marketplace, catering to countries worldwide.

It's a little hard, however a good site will have you accepted.

Amazon affiliate program is a similar alternative, however eBay's IMO has better tracking and will interest your worldwide customers a lot more.

I would recommend persisting with it. I think it is a worthwhile program.

While I don't necessarily get a huge amount of revenue from them I know it is always a good backup if other product links get deactivated, I know I can always just re-direct the traffic to ebay and get something out of it.

    Clive,

I'm in the EPN and would be happy to review your website and give you any pointers to get accepted.

    Whats your url?

If you are new to marketing you should start building a quality website with no affiliate links, bring traffic to it, and then apply to epn later when your quality site has traffic. That really is the only way to get approved.

They are just not approving those with thin affiliate sites...

This site has been around more than 11 years, no changes in ownership and is not an internet marketing site. It has good quality traffic.

Yeah, it gives a lot of options having EPN as income source. I think they usually reject first time applications. I think after about 5th time I contacted them for a review I got accepted.

This thread is probably the most positive stuff I've ever read about EPN. Usually people are complaining and saying how bad EPN is.

I was considering EPN as well, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort after all the bad stuff I read about it. I am currently with Adsense, CJ and LinkShare and bring in decent income. If I was to remove paying ads to replace with EPN, is the payoff really there?

CJ has been a money machine for my websites.

I earn anywhere from 5p per click up to about 20p, but I get very good click thru rates, and a lot of time the adsense for same keywords is like 1-2p a click.
