The fastest free press release distribution site is...

I have a list of 25 of the major free press release distribution sites that I regularly submit to.

PR Urgent News - Free Press Release and News Distribution seems to get indexed by Google news the fastest. I submitted a press release to them maybe half an hour ago and then searched for some keywords that I had in the press release, and so far prurgent is the only site where it came up.

Several other sites already have the press release up on their home page already, but I can only find them by going to the home page - it will probably take at least a few hours before they are indexed. And then many of the other sites review each press release individually, and that can take days.

Just letting y'all know in case you need to get your news out there fast.

If anyone knows any other sites where press releases are indexed really quickly - or for that matter, where your article, blog, etc. can be searchable on Google minutes after it's been written and submitted - I'd love to know. Sometimes my clients want their information online quickly.

PRWeb Press Release Distribution Increases Online Visibility and Web Traffic - PRWeb has a service where, for $100 (on top of their normal distribution fee of $80$-360), they will put a press release on their home page within the hour, but I don't know if it's indexed instantly - since none of my clients have opted for that expensive option.

My favorite press release is BigNews.biz. I've seen some of my press releases indexed in less than an hour.

Usually stays there for a few days at least.

Is there much of a difference between the paid and free ones in terms of timing to index / exposure?

PRWeb and PRNewswire and Businesswire all have real live editors who read each press release to determine whether it meets their standards before they will put the press release online. So it takes anywhere from a few hours to two days to get the PR online - depending on which services - but the sites are more prestigious, more highly regarded, and also offer services the free sites don't - like anchor text, the ability to embed images and video, distribution to the newswires (if you pay extra), distribution to trade magazines, etc.

So each has their advantages. The free PR distribution sites are good for backlinks, SEO, traffic, online branding, etc.

In your opinion Dana_W(aka the sexy one)

What is the best website even if its one you have to pay for, to submit to be syndicated to other a lot of high/medium PR sites?

I am looking for a cheap $200 or less place. To submit 1 Press release to for mass syndication at a good price.

      Thanks.

PRWeb has a $200 package which allows you to use anchor text and to embed video, among other benefits: Press Release Distribution Services: Pricing - PRWeb

mDana, I agree all three seem to get indexed faster than most but remeber
that G also has a Q...lol Sorry, wasn't trying to go all tec on ya... Anyway,
sometimes G is doing other things and doesn't re------search a site till the
next day after their daily quota.

What the heck are you trying to say Michael?

What I'm saying is that each site has an option to inform G how many times
it can scan their site. Some don't set up limits.(Smart) and others do.

    Why? ...........I Don't know???

I do know that limiting a search is not a good ideal. They crawl my sites so
much that I get a feeling that I don't want to change anything while they
    are there...lol

PRWeb, PRNewswire and Businesswire are great sites from my point of view.
You, yourself proved that to me with your offer to promo one of my sites a
    while back.

    Thanks again!
    Have a Great Day!

Spiders are crawling my site??? but...I have Arachnophobia! (The movie, that is.)

I did not know you could tell Google not to crawl you that often. That seems dumb, doesn't it?

But thank you for the SEO lesson! I'm in SEO kindergarten, so this is very useful info.

I highly recommend it. Submit a press release (with your best keyword in the headline and first paragraph) to a few free sites - and then give it about a day, and then check to see:

1.) Where is your placement on Google and Google News for your chosen keyword?

2.) How much traffic did each press release site send you?
