Does anyone know where to get consumer stats?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi,

I want stats on internet users and not sure where to look. There are other stats sites, like StatsCan and a few others that provide things like homeowners: ages, incomes, line of work, level of education, etc. but I need similar and other stats for online users, specifically online search / buying behavior.

Any ideas?

Here are some sites that you could try - they each have different useful statistics, depending on what exactly you need.

Market Research World

Online Marketing Research | Internet Marketing Research | Econsultancy

U.S. Census Bureau (specific extracts for internet usage - link was huge)

Hmm, I don't know why. I just clicked through to check and went right to it. I used IE this time, if it matters. It's one of the more useful sites for this sort of thing so I hope you can access it.

  Hm. Nope. I tried about 4 times and still get the 404 Forbidden error.
  
  Did you sign on as a member or something? That's all I can think of that would cause this. It says I don't have authority to access that page.

emarketer works for me....
I also use Strategic Analysis, Interactive Local Media, Marketplaces, Mobile Local Media, Webinar, Conferences, Yellow Pages, Online Classifieds - BIA/Kelsey

I'm sure either has what your looking for....

  Thanks everyone for those great resources.
  
  Not sure exactly what I need at the moment - just whatever I can find on buying behaviors - for example, hottest products, where people hang out online looking for info to answer their needs... and even bad products/niches. And, of course, the male/female ratio and what each group is most likely to buy & how much they're willing to pay for it.
  
  I know Google Trends can help with some of that, and checking the best sellers on Amazon, etc. can be revealing.
  
  I'll definitely check out all your suggestions.
