World Internet Summit - Toronto - Attending?

I'll be there, as well as my 84 year old mother, who goes by the warrior name of ellymac.

I know there are a number of others going, but they may not all see this thread. I'll try to let others know you posted this. Would be good if we could all meetup.

I'm supposed to be there...have had a couple of sudden schedule conflicts that I need to crush in order to get there.

Hope to get there & meet up with other Warriors... and some other folks too. ;-)

I'm waiting for a callback from the WIS office, I've got a couple of meetings I cannot move that weekend and I'm trying to figure out what I can make. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun and so I'm hopeful I can juggle my calendar...

Meharis, if the lower price is still advertised, I think you can still get in for that price. As far as hotels, a lot of them are already booked, but it's near the airport so there are a lot of them to choose from. John might know a little more about that.

I'll be there but won't be able to make it until Saturday.

Interesting question "I'm in Toronto myself... out of curiosity, is this event worthwhile for 'experienced' IMers, or is it geared towards newbies?"

I certainly don't have a definitive answer.

But what I would say is that this is my 4th Live Event this year and I see them as an opportunity to network "live" with old and new friends, for meeting some top marketers in person forging personal relationships that could never happen any other way.

Some call these events 'Pitch Fests'. Well indeed the presenters all have a 'Package' that just might be what you need at that moment. But inevitably the content of their delivery alone usually is worth attending. No one is holding a gun to open your wallet.

Be responsible, buy if you feel you can turn that investment to your advantage.

I have met, talked with newbies, multi-millionaires, shared meals, private conversations and even a libation with some spectacular players in the IM field. I am now on a first name basis with many.

No I'm not tight with many, but I now have an advantage over someone who is only connected thru a newsletter, call in teleseminar etc. I have shaken hands, looked them in the eye and conversed with them.

Can't do that with out attending, whether you are 'experienced' or 'new' it is the real 'touch' of relationship building and down the road joint venturing.

So I would suggest checking out the sales page to see who is attending as far as presenters and ponder whether one or more of the some 200 attendees might be your next connection to freedom - why not take a look at World Internet Summit.

Completely new to the IM underworld here, so that would've been quite interesting.


Are there any local meetup / mastermind groups in the GTA?

I was going to, but I think there is hardly going to be anything said that I do not already know.

Sure it could be great for networking but it seems to be an expensive way to meet people LOL
