I think you guys are forgetting the purpose of this thread... Im not here to promote cyberhub... im here to show you too cool methods that bring in traffic.

I have used cyberhub successfully by implementing Jing... and giving VERY detailed info and simple brain dead instructions.

If you're going to try the Wikipedia route, I suggest contributing to the Wiki article and adding a link to specific, "best of the best" content. If your external site is just mundane, and it probably is if you're trying to game where to hide your link (3rd spot, etc), then you need to up your content. And if you're just adding links its a spam flag.

I've received traffic and sales from Wikipedia, and found its not huge. But it does help if someone is looking around at different sites and they see your name or website listed as an authority.

That word 'authority' probably best describes what I was trying to say in the first paragraph above. Have authoritative information in your external site (not some EzineArticles type article), and you'll probably have some success.

If you have great content then put your link in the #1 spot. No reason to be shy.

Kris these two ideas are DEAD ON and take the concept of blog searching and posting a reply to the next level buddy! There are very few websites online that get more FREE traffic than Wikipedia and adding YOUR LINK to their site with their highly respected content related information is just brilliant. Also, if you pay one of these wonderfully LOW COST article or blog post ghost writers then for $1.50 - $3.00 per post (usd) you can easily put this system to work for you without doing any major work here. I will definately be following you on Twitter my friend.
