Free Social Media Resource - Create And Share Audio Snippets And Podcasts
Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I've just come across a new social media site that allows users to create audio snippets using their mobile (cell) phones (or via PC) and immediately upload them to their profile page, website or blog.
Think of it as an audio version of Twitter (for 'tweets', read 'boos') - in fact, it's set up so you can easily merge this with your Twitter and Facebook accounts.
It would be useful for ad hoc interviews on the fly, or just to use as a sort of dictaphone. You get the embed code of your audio to place where you like online.
You can also turn your audio into a podcast and there's a one-click upload to iTunes.
Oh, and it's free to open an account.
Anyway, I don't want to sound too much like a salesman for this; I'm going to play around with it for a while and see how it shapes up. Looks pretty cool, though.
