Squidoo page and Article disappeared from search engines.

One of my articles on EA that had the nr.1 spot for a slightly active niche at google, disappeared from google, and my squidoo page disappeared from google, yahoo and msn after I used socialmarker to bookmark it. On the other hand when I used socialmarker on my blog post it jumped to page 2 of 13,6 millions results, why did my squidoo page disappear? And why did my EA article disappear(did not socially bookmark it, or strive to get backlinks in any way.)? Just checked and my article is back o.O But my squidoo page is not.

noone has an answer? My blog post has now also been removed from yahoo and google. Again shortly after I socially bookmarked the post.

I wouldn't worry too much about it for now. Get a few new backlinks, other than from social bookmarks.

from where? and that's not really the issue, I'm frustrated because someone told me to do something which turned out to be a waste of time, instead of it helping it just ruined it completely. And I have been getting a few backlinks and still nothing.

If you social bookmark or social network it, it will build back links and come back.

This happens all the time. What I do when this happens is to go in and make a change or add something to your Squidoo lens. Then go to www.squidutils.com and ping your lens.

You can also sumbit the feed for your lens to sites like feedest.com and feedage.com and submit an article to ezinearticles.com with a link back to your lens.

I have found that this always gets my lenses back on Google.

That's google for ya. If it wasn't that long ago that the articles were indexed then it will jump up and down a lot before it gets stable. Just keep getting backlinks and it will be ok.

Are they fairly new? If so, Google will rank them well at first and then drop them from the SERPS. You need to build links to get them back up there.

It was ranked fairly high without the backlinks, I build some backlinks and poof it's gone altogether.

Right, this is what I am talking about. Your site will almost always rank great at first, even with no backlinks. You just need to keep building backlinks, it can take months so be patient.

... I don't get it... I got several articles that I didn't bookmark that are still ranking high, the one that I did bookmark has gone missing... This is what you meant how?

yeah, something only stays "hot" for so long and than you have to plaster your url on everything to get the page ranking up there. It's a never ending battle.

This happens all of the time. It took me some getting used to the first time it happened to be. A lot of people I know call it the "Google dance." Social bookmarking sites are good, but several people have told me that if you use those automated things with a bunch of backlinks at one time, it can seem like scam. So, I like to add mine gradually. I do some each day. I get traffic from social bookmarking site almost immedately, it seems like.

Another thing I do is to write several different articles around the same topic and then link them together. In order to do this effectively, however, you need to conduct proper market research and what not so that you can write a variety of articles. You will gradually begin to get traffic and go higher and higher in the search engines (as long as the traffic volume don't change drastically). I hope this helps some.

At first Google gives you a boost...then at times they will kick you to the curb a few days...while they decide where you best fit...Then next thing you know couple days later your back in business. Happens to almost everyone...

We were trying some different approaches with an Adsense site...testing some things...It bounced around like a yoyo for about a 2 weeks...One day it would be ranked at 4...next day gone...next day it would be at 5 or 6...next day gone...LOL this happened for like I said about 2 weeks.

Hmm, if it comes back up great, if not then I just need to put more effort into it I guess.
