Pick your fight...what has brought you the cha-ching!

There are many ways to make money with IM.

Adsense
Affiliate Marketing
Creating your own product
Building a List
Flipping sites
Article Marketing
CPA and PPC
Offline Marketing...and so on...

and there is many ways not to make money with IM, one of the is not focusing enough. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people making money in different ways. But I bet that most successful IMer's had to focus in one income stream at a time.

I for instance, love Adsense niche sites. It's something that came easy to me. It might not be the safest way or the quickest way, but if you follow the guidelines is a nice stream of income that you can have for a long time.
I would like to take a poll to see what is your favorite way of making money and if you could drop a line as to why, I would appreciate.

While my site is probably doing the best. Providing jobs on Fiverr is pretty easy, especially for beginning to make money online or funding projects.

While Fiverr is good in the short term, some of my sites are now really getting some traffic so I think once I monetize it properly my sites will start crush what I am making on Fiverr.

    Just my two cents.

Building my own software was the best income stream I came up with.

Lately I've been doing a lot of AdSense on Hubpages and elsewhere. Analytics makes it incredibly easy to see what is making money and I'd love to get to $1000 a month on AdSense alone. I'm sure it can be done.

I want to do more affiliate marketing. Product development is hard work, so it might be better just to market other people's hard work.

I first made a serious living using my internet skills by providing services to others...specifically copywriting and quite poor website design (looking at it in hindsight).

The clients I worked with weren't too worried about the quality of the design though because the sites and the changes I made for them usually brought them in real sales and profits.

I worked up from charging a few hundred dollars to clients to several thousands of dollars+ a project (that's when life got a whole lot easier).

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

So far it's been Adsense....its easy to get addicted to the easy money and although I should be concentrating on more stable models, at this point its a great confidence boost after struggling for so long to see my income grow each and every month with Adsense.

Once I make more money then I'll look to expand into other areas.

But yes I agree above..the key is to FOCUS on 1 method at a time.

For my primary business, 99% of my income comes from offline leads. I don't sell a product or generate leads for businesses. I provide a specific service catered to individuals in my local area and that works extremely well for me. I have 5 people advertising in 3 other countries for me and that is starting to pick up. Maybe once a month I will make a sale strictly via SEO.

100% of my article writing sales comes from "online word of mouth". I don't build a list or advertise or use adsense etc. People just seem to find me.

    To each his own.

I love Adsense - that's how I got started making my first serious amount of passive income.

There are other sources of passive income that I also like, Clickbank and Amazon specifically. I find Amazon very easy to do with my style. Clickbank accounts for the smallest percentage of my passive income; but I do other affiliate marketing.

I first made serious money providing services - content and SEO. That instant cash let me quit my job and become a full time IMer. For a newbie who wants quick cash I always recommend providing services. It doesn't sound sexy, but it brings in a large, immediate cash injection. If I had to pick a single thing to do, this is it. Once you're making a comfortable three/four figures a day, it's easier to focus on long-term projects.
