The new local listings layout?

Have you guys seen the new local listings layout. Google has started to blend the local map results with the organic listings.

For example google "san diego karate"

    It looks the same to me for several months now. I heard that Google may be changing design of the Google maps to the right sidebar. Didn't see that happen yet. What puzzles me is where they would put the Adwords column if they change that format. Curious to see what Google ultimately does in the next couple of weeks.

    Whatever they do, it would definitely affect us offline marketers on how to effectively show 1st page Google listings.

    It will definitely changes things thats for sure. I actually kind of like the new design and hope they implement it across the board because I focus more on the organic rankings then the local listings.

      If you checked out Ryan Deiss' new free ebook, Perpetual Traffic Report, he says what works the best right now is organic traffic, so what you are emphasizing is what the current trends are leaning towards.

    i just googled san diego karate and the local maps layout looks the same to me...

    How are the local Listings any different? ...looks the same to me.

    All I know is the local stuff pushes the regular organic further and further down the page.

      @brucerby & @cozmokramer, yeah it seems to be the same, although every now and then I see Google play around with layout. It had a different look for several weeks back in January.

      @brucerby, What part of Chi-town are you from? Oak Lawn? I'm originally from Rogers Park, north side.

        I'm from far west suburbs, Aurora actually. My best buddy is from Oak Lawn nd I have relatives that grew up in Rogers Park.

        Bruce, Scottsdale is a beautiful place, btw. (prettier than all the above) :-)

    Just google "san diego electrician" or "san diego electricians" and you will see the new layout.

      @rocketguy, I see the same layout that I have seen before. Nothing different on my computer. Only little think I can see is the "7" pack box is a lot deeper. I was used to seeing the whole 7 pack above the fold in my computer screen before....that's it.
