Default Should i have my forum set to nofollow

Hi

I have quite a large forum that is fairly busy (around 4-5000 uniques a day)

I appear very high in search engines for lots and lots of very good keywords. It is more or less at the stage where i can get to the top of search engines for keywords just by making a post about it.

The site is currently set to nofollow for all external url's and has been since i installed vbseo about 6 months ago.

Should i change it back to follow?

The reason i am asking mainly is because i have lots of video's to youtube for instance so i am losing backlinks there as i dont appear in the statistics bit below the video.

What other benefits would i have by changing it to follow?

What do you guys think i should do? leave it as nofollow or change it to follow?

Thank you in advance
Ben Jones

What is your Page Rank? Are you willing to go down slightly in Page Rank (probably temporarily) in order to get extra traffic to your site? If your site has pretty good Page Rank and is a "Do Follow", you will get traffic as people hear about your forum.

The page rank is only 3

But like i say we appear very high in search engines for lots and lots of keywords.

If i removed nofollow and found a huge decrease would i be bale to add the nofollow and eventualy get ti back or does it not work like that
