How to offer bonuses as an affiliate for a product launch?

I've never been an affiliate for a product launch, but have decided to for one in the near future, and already bought 2 domains for it.

My question is how does offering bonuses for buying through your link work? How do they get the bonuses, how do you know who bought through your link? Do you need to set up some extra steps with the product creator?

    Hi

    One simple and no cost process is to communicate in your copy that the buyer of the initial product should send a copy of their receipt to a specified email address to receive their bonuses. On receipt of this you send them their bonus download link.

      I feel like this is such a round-about solution. This can't be how everyone does it, is it?

      Is there some script you can use maybe?

    Do you have a list that you are going to promote to? For those that have a list... many offer their own personal bonuses via email. They specifically say if you buy through me I will give you ____ in the email.

        You don't have to have a list to use CB List Automator. You can tell it to send your customers straight to a bonus download page once their purchase is verified.

              create a dedicated clickbank affiliate account with username and email for that product you want to promote....

              then sign up to aweber.... and every time you receive a sales email letter from clickbank... you can forward the bonus page to your buyer...
