Default Dog ear ads

Has anyone tried using "dog ear" style ads on sites or blogs? That's when the top right corner of the page animates showing a bending motion, and if you mouse over it rolls down showing a colored ad.

Anyone tested the effectiveness of these?
Seems it might work out decently on small blogs/sites that serve to backlink to your main money/optin site in a niche

These types of ads are usually referred to as "page peel ads". Here are the results of one marketers test case: Test Tube Article: Page Peel (Peel Away) Ads - How Do They REALLY Compare To Regular Pop-Overs? | No-BS-Marketing: Straight Talk On Internet Marketing
