I've set a goal for myself to make $10,000 5 months from now for personal reasons. Currently, I make around $200 per month online through Adsense. I have my own product but the sales are few and far between with that. The jump from what I make now to what I need to make seems nearly impossible and I would really have to market my product. But I'm determined to do whatever it takes to get close to that amount.

Has anyone done something like this and (nearly) reached their goal? Surpassed it?

I think the best way to do this would be offering my services. I don't mind writing articles or doing basic logo design. As I've done this in the past but competing with freelancers from around the world at sites like elance doesn't seem like the most efficient way to offer your services...

Setting goals is critical. I attribute much of my success to goals and using them to keep me in crisis mode.

You just need to make sure you have a plan of execution to make it happen. With a product it's all about ensuring your offer is attractive and it converts. Then you need to scale the audience that sees the offer (targeted audience).

Freelance services are difficult to grow rapidly. You are limited by your time and that doesn't scale.

Eerm, I'm pretty sure that's 3 months, and not 5, from this coming Sunday (August 1st).

It's important to set yourself goals, but even more important is to set reasonable and achievable goals! I would also consider setting goals in smaller chunks, it just makes it (visually) easier.

$10,000 in 5 months is $2000 dollars a month. That is $67ish a day. So how many articles or basic logo designs would you need to complete per day to earn $67 a day?

    Cheers

Build a list and do a 4day cash in october. You have 84 days for oct 20th. Assuming u skip 4days preparation.. u have 80 days.

Build a list of 10,000 subscribers in a hungry niche market. write articles to get traffic. 50,000 visitors will do at a 20% opt rate. If u get only 20 visits an article, then its 2500 articles in 80 days.

that's about 33 articles a day.. 250 words okay.. Outsource them for the better. You are likely to make more than just $10,000 when u follow this plan...

  • 10k usd is achievable even with affiliate marketing. Adsense is harder however.

The best idea is putting it in to perspective like affilcrazy said.

Build a backend in to your product so its continuity focussed, or break down your current product in to monthly videos and reports. That will guarantee a set amount each month if your content is good.

You have a site earning $200 per month, try get this up higher by writing 30 more articles for the next few months. You could then sell the site or if the 200 is from multiple sites, sell them and you will reach your goals.

Thanks for your input and advice all.

I was just researching for an article just now and while I was looking over the demographics of that niche I got an idea which may get actually get me close to that number in about 5 months.

In the past I've come across marketing and demographics reports being sold to specialized industries for upwards of $500, sometimes even in the $3,000 range. I just remembered this from an old War Room thread.

What if I could take something similar to these reports and market it offline and online to small businesses for $300? I don't know if they would buy something that expensive from someone they don't know but it's worth a shot. Small businesses need to hone in on their target market, especially in these times. I could even create a service for businesses in my area out of it if it goes well or email the chamber of commerce about this.

I actually really enjoy delving into demographic and marketing data so this sounds like something that might work. I'm going to start testing this idea out tonight. Thoughts?

Well, 10k is not much compered to what peoples earn from online world.
    That is surely achievable

Although it will be very hard to achieve that with adsense or click bank you can make that easily if you start your own store in ebay or open a new shopping site.

And remember marketing is almost everything in the world. No mater how good your product is no one will buy it if you don't stand out from crowd and persuade your costumers to buy.

Goals are important. When I began my first real, serious internet marketing effort (not just playing at it) I set a goal to make $1,000 a month as an achievable mark. In my first month with that particular project I actually made $6,000 in one day.

Goals are fantastic. Surpassing them is incredible.

Google Adsense is good place for making money and it grows rapidly if you put good content on your website. You must write good article and try to catch more audience.Make a goal and then try. On the other side freelancer site are no so good way to earn. There is lot of competition among the freelancers around the world and you have less chance to earn.

Money goals are great to shoot for. What works best for me is 'task' goals. As others have said, write so many articles a day. And whatever else works for you. When you can check off your tasks for the day, then you can feel the achievement and repeat the following day. There are many articles about daily check lists to achieve your goals.
Here's to your success and the $$$$$$$
