Forget article spinners

I have well over 12,000 articles "spinned" and posted in just one niche and distributed by various autoposting s/w. When I actually look back, long term - I say it's a complete waste of bandwidth.

You start by having poor quality cheap writers producing them to begin with. Then you use software to create variations that are even worse than the original, that you'd probably never put your own name under.

Now you got all this stuff that just one grade above the garbage (if that) and you distribute it to thousands of places knowing that no person in his right mind would bother reading. You're counting on Google to give you credit for the links you stuck in there...

Buddy, you probably won't get much long term. The places that take these automated submissions are low quality, zero authority blogs that regurgitate this type of trash, that no site respecting itself will take. With auto submissions you can have thousands of these links, but they won't amount to much for your SEO.

Now, a REAL advice.

I pay $10 per 500 words articles targeted to US population on speciality topics written by native english speakers -- GREAT quality. I wouldn't mind signing my name under them if this was in my area of expertise.

I give each writer a list of 50 topics and over a space of 3 months they'll deliver 50 good quality articles on diff. topics around my subject area I'm trying to dominate. I often hire 3 diff. writers to write on the same topics.

This is truly unique good quality content that adds value to the market place and search engine results.

Then I'll find good places to distribute them that actually matter and give me good quality links. One of them, of course, could be your own blog, that can help you rank your money pages.

Rather than going to guru.com or elance - post a well articlulated ad on Craiglist. You have to pay Craiglist nowadays, but they keep your ad there for a month. You'll be surprised how many people in the US want to write and get paid for it.

I had all kinds of comments I got from people in response to the ad - sending me long resumes, list of their work an websites they blogged for -- stating that my pay rate was laughable. Yet I have 4-5 writers working on articles all the time. And a couple of them are truly outstanding with words.... working for $10 an article.

Um okay...that is very disconcerting news. Does that mean my page one listings that I have had for a year are about to be lost because I build the backlinks up solely with spun articles? That is very unsettling indeed!

The takeaways from reading the OP's missive are as follows...

(a). Don't use cheap writers like the OP stated that they did.

(b). Learn how to properly "spin' your articles; as apparently the OP didn't based on their statments.

(c). Learn how to submit your repackaged content to: article directories, blogs and websites that will pass on good link juice; apparently the OP missed that step also by their own admission.

(d). Never post such a opinionated diatribe to a public forum filled with savvy Article Marketers who know MUCH better. There are plenty of Article Marketers who are dominating competitive niches with way less than 12,000 articles.

(e). If you have 12,000 articles written on "1" niche and you are not dominating your targeted keywords [even with crappy content] you need to go back to square one because you definitely missed something.

(f). If you hate/disdain/despise or disagree with something, just say so!

You read it because I wrote my response and then had one of my VAs spin it just for fun!

This sounds like me, so that's why I'm outsourcing my article work.

All spun articles don't come out like crap. It depends on the person spinning them. Garbage in .... Garbage out.

You have to think outside of the box when you use spinning and think about leveraging your content instead of just creating a bunch of different versions of the same thing.
