Camstudio fuzzy videos after moviemaker, make it stop.

Hi all, I am using camstudio and windows moviemaker. I have been back and forth through the forum and do not see my question, the closest answer was:I have'nt made 15 posts yet so I can't show you the link to the post, lol
awsome reply Josh. but I am still wanting to have my vids hosted else where.
I save my camstudio vids as avi and then use movie maker to edit. they come out fuzzy,
Yes I am wanting to use these on you tube or some such video warehouse storage server to play in my wordpress posts.
Using camstudio to create the video, which programs and tools (and settings) does one use to edit an avi video that will still be acceptably clear after editing, rendering, reformating to have a decent playback. These are small videos 5-15mins in length.

I have tried dozens of free software tools: You name it and I have probably tried it. I just tried 3 more before posting this.
I use free because I am poor and would like to make some cash at which time I will be able to afford the pro tools. If there are any basic camstudio to youtube/photobucket etc. tutorials out there please drop a line.

    windows moviemaker.
    Therein lies your answer.

Windows movie maker produces highly compressed wmv video files. Its a really crappy editor to work with unless you have no other choice.

Additionally a lot has to do with what dimentions you capture in and what dimentions your edited video is published in.

On top of that you are capturing and then editing/rendering in two different codecs which often can decrease the quality.

It gets even more complicated though when you combine screen capture, other elements such as live motion video, and cross over
    on codecs.

You can go a long way to improve things if you use a better video editing software like Sony Vegas Movie Studio etc.

As for the "poor" problem.... most software out there including Sony comes with a 30 day free trial. Also you may be loosing money by doing work with crappy free tools and having to do it over because the results are not the best. This can impact your financial situation as well wasting a lot of time and producing lower results.

Thank you Josh, I agree with your advice. I am looking into the free trial to get a few vids done and hopefully everything works well enough that I can generate some income. Any results would be amazing, lol.
