Hey guys,

Just testing out the effectiveness of a salesletter here.

Looking for feedback, criticism and most importantly - would you buy this?

Thanks very much in advance for your response...

Cracking the MSN Code

(Order links are disabled, and some images still need to be uploaded/changed. Also it will be on its own domain when live)

Thanks!

Trademark Chris Rempel salesletter but apart from the first paragraph the salesletter doesn't reinforce what MSN traffic does for the buyer.

Perhaps the term 'MSN traffic converts better than Google' should be highlighted a bit more and repeated.

I may be biased towards your products but will definitely buy on the strength of your salesletter. The title is attractive though "Crack the MSN code" or it could be MSN code cracker.

    Cheers

      Kelly,

Sorry if it comes across that way, but my business is established enough that the true value in posting this here in the WF is feedback.

Not the promotional aspect of the so-far 10 people that have viewed this thread.

However, your point is duly noted, and you're right, this should have been posted in the copywriting section. I'd forgotten about that.

Who cares what forum it was posted in.

As for the title, I'm not sure I like "loophole". Maybe the title should be a little more direct, like:

"Here's How to Systematically Get #1 Rankings For Any Keyword You Want on MSN..." Then just re-enforce the fact that you can get #1 spots for really competitive terms.

The only problem is see is that "can this really work as good as it's claiming?"

I mean if i was 100% sure, without a doubt that i could use this to get spot 1# or very very close, then of course i and everyone on this forum would buy it.

We can't be 100% sure though, which i think is what you have to prove or convince the reader of the most.

I know the video is important, but you may be giving up too much information in it. That is, using the video someone can find your site, look at the source code, and pretty well guess the tips.

    Re: reverse-engineering

    Actually, that's impossible.

Neither on-site factors or our backlinks are causing this.

Your feedback is very valuable, though. I need to make this clear early on in the salesletter...

    Thanks!

What has convinced me the most is to see for myself after doing some research that a website of august 08, with a page 300 words long and less than 170 backlinks holds spot 1# for msn amongst 25 million pages.

Unless you don't want the websites to be revealed i would encourage people to research the websites. That would prove it works.

The only other thing is MSN catching on. Is there any way to assure people this won't be caught out? How blackhat is it?

Those are the questions i would ask.

    amazing stuff right there though.

I updated the salespage a bit based on the feedback here.

Here's what I added just below the video...

    ------------------------------------------------

Important note: The example sites & rankings in this video are using a proprietary method to achieve their rankings. While on-site factors & backlinks do have a small effect in this - that's not what's really generating these rankings...

Try as you might, there is no possible way to reverse-engineer this, even if you're a search engine expert (or employee, for that matter).

    ------------------------------------------------

@Matt - I actually answered both of those questions further down on the sales page.

    Particulary questions #3 and #4.

    Are the questions/answers visible enough?

    Thanks

I think it's that old chestnut where people need to see slap bang in their face proof it works, proof it can help you and it's "exactaly what i need" then later on you could possibly go into more detail.

As you know i'm not expert.

But basically don't wait for the reader to find what he needs to buy this product.

all i need to know is

    1) Does it work?

    2) Is there proof?

    3) How can i use it to make money?

Just on ym buying instinct that's what i think about. I find i will discover these points without realising it so the only thing that made a dent in a decision is the proof and reassurance that this will work for me, without bordering radical claim.

I don't know if that gives you much but it's feedback.

      Hi Matt,

      Thanks for your input.

While I do try to address those three points in the letter, maybe it's not clear enough.

I'll take a good look at how I can modify the letter so those three things (which are the exact selling points) are more clearly conveyed...

      Thanks Matt, much appreciated

A buy now button at the top would be just fine. lol

Seriously, the offer outsells your copy...how could you refuse the possibilities? (the fact that everyone may not understand them might be a POI for you to address) Of course, depending on final price. Oh, and I would mention a bit more about how much work it is to dominate.

Subconscious concerns when pondering the offer:

    1) Skepticism- How long will it work, initial investment "i.e. time", (ROI is obvious, but make it known for those who don't interpret)

    2) Internal competition- how does the system compete with itself (knowing the limited distribution would anchor this and offer security, thus diffusing)

    Oh and one last thing...

Quite honestly, I would test a different approach of the end result in your headline... a bit of hype

"Imagine How Much Money You Will Make When Your Website Goes Undefeated Against MSN"

sub- Can You Spell, "Money In The Bank" For Every Niche Imaginable? I can, and I want you to join me!

Don't believe me? Watch the video below that will change your IM career forever!

(perfect opportunity to introduce a small paid trial, or even a continuity trial... seems to fit as I ran through this real quick; just a thought)

Or you could just ass a testimonial from me after I test out a niche or 2 and tear it up!

Would I personally buy it? Nope, the video was too revealing... I'll tell you why:

We search the terms mentioned, match the title to your websites and the pattern becomes clear: purchase a domain like keyword-here.com/org/net. For extra credit, a little more research to find backlinks and each site shows one from a directory on a specific gaming forum, another from a loan website and the occasional RSS/XML feed aggregator (most notably rss2.com).

Basically the easiest way to go about it would be they buy a keyword-rich domain name, throw up a Wordpress blog, add some semi-optimized content, throw CPA offers on it and add the feed address to popular RSS feed aggregators (like Feedage.com - better yet, use an automated tool). Maybe a little social media work but it doesn't take much thanks to how well MSN responds to the keyword-rich domain names.

Fortunately I don't need to go test this to see if it works, I know it does because I've been doing it.

      Keeghan,

      Not close, and no cigar.

If that's the case, do exactly what you just said and try to knock us out of the #1 spot for our ranking where we beat 577 million other pages.

      Like I said, this can't be reverse-engineered.

Keegahn, what you've described is what everyone does with a website they launch.

Do you expect us to believe you will get rank 1# over authority websites by building some backlinks and optimizing seo?

As long as you have a keyword rich domain and a few quality backlinks, yes, on MSN that's all it's ever taken for me. It's especially true if you've let the domain name age before promoting - if you're patient enough and combine the two, you're golden. Or... buy already-aged domain names... hint hint.

Talk is cheap, let's find some real world examples in the... fitness niche!

Search "weight loss" on MSN - first result is weightloss.com. Okay, maybe it's a coincidence. Look at their backlinks - from what I'm seeing the majority are coming from web directories! Maybe a fluke, right?

Search MSN for "build muscle" - first result is build-muscle.net, what a shocker! :p Look at the backlinks - Technorati and other social/aggregator websites. Seeing the pattern yet?

Okay, example from the video. Search MSN for "reducing debt" - first result is reducing-debt.net - where have we seen this before? Check the backlinks, I see RSS/XML feed aggregators - the feed located at "reducing-debt.net/index.xml".

Hey, let's try a popular Clickbank product... Forex Autopilot seems popular, search that on MSN. First result is the official page, but look at the second: forexautopilot.org! Backlinks, again, show lots of social media.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe that's not Chris' method, but that one certainly works. All I was saying is that I personally wouldn't want to buy it after watching the video/reading the copy, previous knowledge aside I would have tried the results of my research. Luckily, I already knew the outcome.

      Best of luck!

I think you did a good job. I don't like your use of blue, I prefer red, but I guess that.s just a personal preference. I really like the fact that I scanned most of it and could not find any spelling mistakes. I really get turned off with so many websites because people can't spell and are too lazy to use a spell checker. Good work. Lots of luck with it.

OK, a couple of things jump out at me when I watch your video. #1 and Most important is this: you could make MUCH more money with the traffic than selling this information. Why do it if it works consistently? There is no incentive for you to divulge your methods.

Second observation. The moment this method gets released, you'll have several hundred competitors armed with your methods carpetbombing all your best keywords, especially those in the video, those will go first. How do we get first page rankings if all of us are doing the same thing?

That's just my input. Hope it is useful to you.

Hey Chris - I was sold on it and read the first part, saw the vid, and read a bit further - to just after the sub headline of

    "MSN.com Is a Closely-Guarded Goldmine For Many Super Affiliates & Heavy-Hitters..."

Had already decided in my mind, I want to buy this - so forget about reading the rest, scrolled down to see how much and where the order button would be.

I like it and it converted me.

Tommygadget has a good point of hundreds of competitors...how many people would then be carpet bagging all the good keywords...

I'd still buy it! It would be great for geotargetting/local seo and a great showcase to show potential clients success at ranking for 'xyz'

One thing to remember is that it's not like there's a limited number of "good" keywords. In fact, there's literally millions of profitable keywords across thousands of markets.

Even if 100,000 people buy this and actively use it (that'd be nice []), there's no way that "all the good keywords" would be used up.

Think about how many webmasters are out there trying to game Google right now.

A hell of a lot more than what we'll manage to reach with this product.

And yet it's still possible to rank well if you build something good and go the "natural" route in Google.

How much more possible will it be, then, to do this in MSN, where you can literally just nail any keyword you want using a method that, comparitively speaking, very few people will actually know about?

      Just some food for thought...

      -Chris

P.S. The sites that Dave is showing in the vids were essentially created as examples. They're not his "real" money-makers.
