When did you make the jump from doing SEO to PPC?

I am totally burned out on SEO, article marketing, backlink building etc........even outsourcing those tasks is no longer cost effective it seems. Those methods take forever to see returns.

I was thinking of buying Perry Marshall's course on learning PPC.

I am ready to move to the "other side" and focus on paid traffic sources.

When you made the move to paid traffic did you see a increase in income?

Not immediately, because I made a lot of money-wasting mistakes. Over time, I learned how to split test and that's when the light bulb went on for me. The immediacy of PPC is a tremendous benefit.

I started doing ppc when I felt comfortable enough to spend $100 per day in advertising costs and lose it.

I figured I would lose money my first 3 months figuring it all out, so fpr me when I was up to $400 per day consistently for a while I decided that I would feel comfortable going back down to $300 per day to figure out adwords.

It didnt take very long to figure out with all the tracking features us internet marketers have.

I still do seo, and other traffic methods but I start out with ppc, this way I can see which keywords are converting and getting lot of traffic.

If I have one that is converting really high, I will still bid on it, but I will also rank it with seo, and do some content syndication for that word.

I will also bid on the content network for that keyword. Just so I can be seen everywhere and further increase my authority in a niche.

I would say $100 dollars a day is a good amount to start with, if you are good at converting sales at a high rate, you don't have much to worry about as long as you are building a list.

I do it the other way around....

I do PPC until I find the good keywords that actually convert, then I build an SEO campaign around those keywords.

Sure makes the job a hell of a lot easier to figure out.

      And a lot cheaper.

I'm actually the opposite of the OP, and I don't touch Adwords.

However, I have had nice success with Stumble Upon Paid Advertising.

      Good luck,
