Looking for the best Social Media Guide on how to use it to connect and build relationships

I'm looking for a Social Media (Twitter/Facebook etc) guide on how to successfully brand yourself and build up connections. I'm not very good at SM and don't want to use Twitter and Facebook to sell stuff.

I'm in the wedding niche and have build up a presence on Twitter, 2 blog owners approached me for guest blog posts and link to my site out of their own, but I'm struggling with Facebook. I'm still getting a few things wrong IMHO.

Any suggestions please? How do I semi-automate my Twitter account?

I want to follow the 28 day traffic blueprint Travis laid out, SM is not my strong point.

    Sorry in regards to facebook what exactly are you asking about. Are you asking how to get fans or how to create a name and brand yourself using Facebook?

    I can't help much with twitter as I have nooo clue at all about twitter but I do have moderate experience with facebook which I hope I can share.

    I just want to build up contacts on facebook and share an ebook I'm busy creating later this year - mainly with wedding photographers and blog owners in the niche.
