How Much Traffic Should I Have Before Focusing on Selling?

I was advised a few weeks ago that my average unique visits per day (like 25 or 30) was WAAYY too low to worry about actually trying to sell anything, so I needed to focus most of my time to getting the traffic up.

I'm just wondering if there is some ballpark figure (say, in terms of unique visits per day) where some of the focus could shift back to selling.

    There would'nt be some exact ballpark figure, 25-30 is a good amount a day.

    Is this targetted traffic? what traffic methods are you using?

    Even if you promote an affiliate product which has a conversion rate of 1%, then after 4+ days you could theoretically make a sale, or lets say after a week.

    But this is assuming that the 100 visitors will click the affiliate link on your page..... which would depend on your traffic quality and the content on your page.

    (not all visitors will come to your page and click the affiliate page)

    Well, it's true that without traffic you won't score sales, and yes 25 unique visitors is too little unless you're selling Ferraris. But you should focus to grow both traffic and sales in a lineal fashion.

    I prefer to work on both generating traffic at the same time selling. sometimes selling could generate traffic, sometimes traffic could generate sale.
