I'm not an expert in real estate, but I do have a couple of friends in the field. (I'll mention it to them), and I do live in California. One thing you might want to consider is targeting your project to a particular region of California, since it's a large state and the real estate markets do vary - you have Northern Cal. vs. Southern Cal., coastal urban areas (SF Bay Area, Los Angeles) vs inland exurbs vs rural areas, and many more variants. The real estate agents I know all specialize in one or two areas, and someone knowledgeable about the San Diego market, for example, may not know much of anything about the Sacramento area. At the least you'll have to factor in travel expenses if your project involves in-person legwork. (Just to give you an idea about the size, the county I live in (San Bernardino) is more than twice the size of Israel.) ~Peggy |

Well, you definitely need to talk to a California real estate expert.
