Newbie - Can anyone help RE:submitting articles

Hi,

I'm pretty new here but I have been trying to advise people who have asked things I know about, but I've found I don't know the answers to a lot of the questions. But I'm learning.

Anyway, I've written half a dozen articles and I was wondering if anyone could advise their top places to submit articles to get the most exposure.

I'm in the IM niche, if people were willing to share their top 3, it would give me a heads up of maybe where to go first.

I'm a little overwhelmed with everything thats involved so this would be a helpful shortcut.

So far I've been mostly focusing on trying to build up friends on social marketing sites in my areas of interests but this has been a slow process so far.

Many thanks to anyone who reads and/or answers.

Great forum!

    I like ezinearticles.com, articlegeek.com, 1888articles.com,ehow.com (how to's).

I guess that could get them started. All are free services.

Good luck and welcome to the forum where all questions can be answered.

      Oh Euro style, my mistake!

EZA is the gorilla in the room right now, or you can try mass distribution via Isnare or Article Marketer.

EzineArticles - I heard they are bigger than all the others combined.. not sure if its true, but I've had the best success with them vs the others.

That said, I also use Article Submitter to spew them out to a lot of other sites as well (doesn't work with EzineArticles).

      Hi,

Ezinearticles is the 800 pound gorilla of article marketing right now. Things can change. Altavista was once the leading searching engine on the planet. Dominance without innovation is pointless :-)

Anyways yes Ezinearticles are the main one to submit to. After that I'd hit GoArticles, Articlesbase and Searchwarp if you had time.

      Just my 1/50th of a euro :-)

      Lol, you tell em

Seriously but, all I can say is wow, how many responses and how FAST.

Looks like first place i'll be heading is e-zine articles!

Also to everyone who has suggested automatic submission software, that is much appreciated. I never knew such a thing existed. Even if I did I might have been sceptical but having people recommend them through personal experience will save making any mistakes here.

      Thankyou everyone.

Anyone else who has others please post on.

Ive made a wordpad file with all the mentioned ones so far!

ezine articles is by far the best, and if you target your key words you will find yourself on the first page of google in a few days. Also, searchwarp, articledashboard, article city, article factory, go articles, article-emporium, article avenue, alumbo, article stop, isnare, just to name a few

Yep, Ezine Articles is far and away the winner, no question.

I use Article Marketing Automation and have seen very good results. It's not a directory but the methodology is unique and very very effective. And, it's not cheap -- $47/month... I have been trying it for about a month now and will probably continue at least one more since my results have been so good. I will evaluate in another month whether I will dole out that kind of cash each month.

I cannot really speak for the other directories, I have used only EZA.

I used to do a manual post to ezine, but now we use peter Drews article blaster software which hits ezine and a bunch of others.

This has gotten us first page rankings in less than 24 hours routinely.

I agree that Ezinearticles is the top dog, along with some of the others mentioned.

I would also suggest articlemarketer. There are some who will argue that most of the directories they submit to won't do you much good and that's true, to an extent. They probably won't get you much direct traffic, but they still provide a one way link.

Google will discount many of these backlinks, but not all. But there are other search engines besides Google. Yahoo will count all of those they find. There are still people who other search engines.

As for article submitter software, I have article announcer and it's still the best around. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive, by far, but it blows the doors off the others.

Although I've never tried it, I hear that article post robot works pretty well, if you don't mind getting into the grey area. I'll get around to checking out some day.

By the way, why is it that when something easy comes around, it's labeled grey hat or even black hat. Article post robot is supposed to be fully automated and because of that, the directories don't like it. What's the difference to them whether I spend 10 minutes submitting my articles or 10 hours. It all come out the same.

Sorry, just blowing off a little steam.

Here's another question in the same vein...

How do you guys view duplicate content to different article directories? Someone told me they make three versions... 1 for their site, 1 for EzineArticles, and 1 for all the rest...

Anyone else do this? Seems like a lot of work to me. Or, are two versions worth it? ie, one for your site, and one for the directories? Or is this even a waste of time?

I definately would have a completely unique article on my site. As for the directories, you could go either way. If writing 3 versions is too much trouble, stick with 2, but no less. Never, never, ever, submit the same article that you have on your site.

EzineArticles, Go Articles, Search Warp, and Article City will get you what you need. If you decide to go with an Article Submission service I would also suggest Article Marketer...they offer a lifetime, annual, and monthly subscriptions.

Since the topic was brought up - what is everyone's favorite article submission software?

I'm using Article Submitter, but that doesn't mean I like it hugely... I just haven't used anything else. Anyone tried a few different ones, or REALLY like theirs?

What about Ideamarketers? I haven't used them very much because their submission process seems kind of slow. Any one have any opinions on them?
