Article Marketing Question

If I am using Article Marketer to submit my articles to all the directories, would it be smarter to buy a domain name and have them redirect to my affiliate page or to just link them to a landing page? Since duplicate content won't rank and the articles were origonaly published on ezinearticles and already link back to my landing page, I was wondering what works better. I also would social bookmark the origonal ezine aritcles. I was thinking then to get another domain name and rewrite the articles, use them for blog material and point all new ezine articles to the blog.

Also I was curious if anyone has had sucess redirecting there ezine aritcles to their affilate page or if it's just better to send them to your own blog or page so your own site gets ranked.

Thanks

If you are using a service like Article Marketer or submitting your articles to any of the "lesser known" directories, I would never consider redirecting to the affiliate offer.

      Why?

Chances are many of the places that your articles is distributed will never get seen by readers, so you are essentially wasting backlinks.

Now, I have had success redirecting from EZA in certain niches, but I certainly would not even entertain the idea of doing it from a mass distribution service. You would be losing a ton of SEO advantages by doing so.

So your are saying that even if the articles never get seen you stand a better chance of getting credit for the link to your own site verses the chance that somebody might click on it and go to your affiliate link. I want to make sure I'm understanding this right.

          Yes.

If you are targeting the right keywords on your own site and can build a decent amount of backlinks, it is going to benefit you greater in most circumstances.

Article Marketer charges you almost thirty bucks a month...are you willing to pay that for the chance to get a couple visitors to the sales letter? If you are, you would be better off using adwords

Nope, makes sense now. It was just an idea that popped into my head and was wondering if anyone had tried it. Thanks for clearing it up!
