What Is The Best File Hosting Service?

Hey warriors!

I am urgently looking for a solution to this dillemma. By next week, I will be unravelling my membership site which will give users access to hundreds of downloads. I do not want to host this on my webhosting account for the website, and want to have the files elsewhere.

I keep finding services like rapidshare, megaupload etc, but I don't want paying members to have to wait to download when they just paid for access to the content.

But anyway, I have looked into Amazon S3 and am still unclear about exactly what it does (WTH!)

Also looked into box.net

Please give me any suggestions. Note that my users should be able to download with a direct link, no waiting times, no dodgy free hosting sites, just a solid solution.

Thank you!!

Dean

File sharing websites are not always a part of the solution you looking for ...

In case have a trial with some good service providers like amazon, hotfile, megaupload, megadrive, adrive, RS.

These are quite good in itself & i have experienced megaupload premium services for about 1 year in which you can have a try at 9 USD per month

    Thanks!

Yes I am looking exclusively for file hosting. I don't need to point an address or anything to it. Just need to directly link to the files for my members.

The above seem like solid solutions. I'm leaning towards S3 but I am going to take a closer look at fileburst and the other 2.

By the way, what is the downside of using a standard host? Such as hostgator, bluehost or any other?

I use Box.net. It has some nice features. Spendy, but works well for my clients.

Thanks for all the suggestions fellas.

I spent all day yesterday looking for a solution. I kept coming across suggestions like rapidshare, megaupload and the lot. I checked out the above solutions and they look great.

I found this cool service called dropbox.com and they do pretty much all the above.

You can have direct links to people who have it. Its not too badly priced either.

They also have their own software which can let you drag and drop into a folder and auto upload.

I think I checked out box.net, but they didn't allow paypal payments. I like to use paypal because its just one less payment service you don't have to keep track of like CC statements lol.

    Super easy to use too.

    Thanks!

Amazon S3 works best with this since it's also very cheap (standard edition costs around 15cents per GB of videos). I am also currently using it in my membership site Mass Outsource Mastermind and it's pretty handy. I can actually store up to 300 videos before I even spend those cents. Also, you have to use its bucket (Amazon S3 Bucket Explorer) where you can upload the files onto the Amazon S3 server and from there, it goes out very easy.

I also have a tutorial regarding this and it will be up on Monday at my blog!

What are you getting at, eh?

Yes I am finding that service to be a breeze. And whats worse is that I could have fallen for any number of crappy services out there!

Gee I love the Warrior Forum.
