Default Ads in Paid Programs/Software

I have some some software that I purchased and in them, they have ads. Labeled as Partners/Resources and are related to the product. They dont distract from the interface.

I then started thinking about offline retail software. They all have some type of ad. Windows puts MSN, AOL, etc trials and other demo software.

Games have a "other product" links and some even install trials by default.

I have considered putting the same type of ads in some of my software.

What are your thoughts?

It bothers me but it's acceptable if it's not too much.

I consider to put this type of ad on my paid software as well but not put it too much.

If you don't you are missing the opportunity for
serious amounts of additional sales.

There is still nothing for sale here but a person with

I am already doing it Garrie. It works.

I also have people signing up for my lists right through my software. I display websites(I use a redirect so I can change my website when I want to promote a particular product), banners that they can click and the optin for my lists.

The key is to make not let it become to obtrusive. This is why I created my Software Builder so I can mass produce these things and it takes me about 30 minutes now to produce a software product that would normally take me about 3 weeks.
