    your question doesn't make sense without more detail...... reading what? watching what? wanna learn the piano - much better to watch.... some people hate videos and prefer pdf....

      You might think it's simple - but it lacks detail or focus.

      So the answer will always be - It depends.....

      I like ebooks for stuff I can print out and read over a coffee.

      Videos for visual stuff like learning the piano.

      1 & 1 for things where I want personalised information that addresses my specific needs.

      ebooks and videos are usually done for the masses or groups - rather than to answer specific problems for one person. So often they lack the exact details needed for different people.

      In short - the preference depends on what is being offered and how well it's done.

      Why do you want to know? - what is your preference? why do you care what ours is?

    Well I wanted to know because I have helped alot of people in the past. So I have tried various ways of training. I haven't really did a census on it but I think 1 on 1 is better. But you cannot always help others in this manner all the time.

    I just wanted to know based on others experience what they felt worked best for them.

    Agree it depends......I prefer video training for stuff I don't really understand by reading. Some skills take forever to describe but a few seconds to demonstrate by video.

    Mostly for longer documents , I prefer reading if the information is written well enough and completely enough.

    For the quick and simple stuff I enjoy video training if it's less than 10 minutes actually prefer the 2-3 minute training sessions. it's hard to focus beyond that... at least for me.

    I prefer that a real person stand in front of me holding my laptop while I read, so the answer is both. It also makes me happy when there is a second that is in charge of scrolling my mouse. I prefer an all female tutoring staff, as well.
