Is it possible to beat Amazon?

Hi Warriors,

If I'm competing to sell a physical product and the first page of Google has Amazon and various other shopping sites but their pagerank is low and the backlinks are either low in volume or non existent, is it possible to still rank up there with them. Has anyone had this experience and been successful?

Thanks,
Catherine

Thanks for the quick reply, do you find it critical to use exact match domain names. For example if I was selling pink elephants and pink elephants.com, .net etc were taken, is it just as good to use something like mypinkelephants.com

Depending on the exact circumstances, you could also use something like:

        pinkelephants.nonsensename.com

        or

        nonsensename.com/pinkelephants/
