MY FIRST SITE! - How To Monetize? Please Critique

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I only stared leaning about IM a few months ago so I've been in learning mode most of this time.

However...

I'm starting to take action & get my feet wet with a few things.

I've decided to start building a list in a niche I have a lot of interest & knowledge in so email marketing is going to be one method of making money online for me.

The second thing I'm looking at is setting up websites using WP & optimising them to target specific keywords in order to rank highly in the search engines.

Only a couple of months ago I had no idea what word press was but I'm starting to figure it out now. I got really stressed when I started setting up my first WP site, just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted but I'm getting there now.

The main problem I'm having now is I'm unsure as to the best way to monetize the sites I make.

I'm interested in the following form to make money on my sites:

Google Adsense
Clickbank
Amazon Affiliate

With this keyword/topic I thought it would be best to use Amazon & Adsense.

I think I have set up the Adsense adds in the right way but I would be greatfull for any pointers in making improvments with this.

Promoting the Amazon products I'm finding hard, just not sure of the best way to do this.

Do you think I should just focus this site towords Adsense & leave out the Amazon products?

Or can anyone give me some advice on a better way to improve the promotion of the Amazon products?
