New to Affiliate Marketing

Well, sounds like most of you have more experience with amazon affiliate marekting than I do, I am just now researching affiliate marketing so I hope I'm in the right place to ask questions. I've been researching this for about a week now and I must say my head is "spinning" with all there is to know and do.

So after the "head spinning", I've come up with somewhat of a gameplan on where to start. I figured I'd get started creating some lenses on squidoo and become an amazon affiliate featuring their products. Will amazon accept me as an affiliate if I have a squidoo lens? I would think that would be the equivalent of a website, but I'm not certain. Also, I thought it would be a good idea of starting a blog as an amazon affiliate featuring their products and have links from my squidoo lenses to the blog and visa versa. Probably sounds very basic to all of you, but I am new at this! Please let me know if I'm on the right track here.

Also, I have a question about writing product reviews. Is it best to write product reviews on the blog and squidoo lense about one specific product and then add the links to the squidoo lense and blog that lead to the product at amazon or should several products be featured? Can anyone direct me to a website or blog where this has been done? I'm a better visual learner than anything.

    So many of the word affiliate in your post. It reminds me of the keyword stuffed articles people used to write 6 years ago lol.

    How many products to be featured?
    A blog with review about your amazon products is a good idea. I would do 1 Affiliate amazon product link per 1 review.....
    so that 1 review would be targeted 1 product, which would be what the redirect link would be redirecting to.

    If you include 1 review to 5 amazon product links then the user has 5 choices to click to, so might get confused when checking them all out, but it can also work too. You can test and see different types.

    But if you review 8 different products, have one review for each one, = one blog post for each one, which redirects to that ONE particular affiliate link.

    You can include "To see other products I recommend, then view my other blog post reviews"

    As for squidoo lenses, they should be fine with what you want to do, and linking both the lense to your blog and vice versa is a good idea.

    You should social bookmark you blog posts too, so they get some links.

    If your new to affiliate marketing I would suggest first of all focussing on building a list. I have found in the past you learn alot more and get alot more value out of that then setting up review sites etc where your just directing people to various offers...
