Default ezine or squidoo?

I'm a newbie and I'm starting an article marketing campaign for some highly searched, yet non-competitive keywords I found.
I just finished up my first article and I'm wondering which site I should submit it too. I'll likely just alter them around and submit the slightly different articles to all of them..

Anyway, just wondering .. squidoo has currently has a google page rank of 8 while ezine has a page rank of 6. Does that mean that the squidoo lens will appear ahead of the ezine article for the same keywords?

Hi Mate,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Internet Marketing.

My suggestion is to target both...just submit 2 different
articles based on the same keyword. There is no harm
in having 2 listings in the Search engines

Take Care,

Michael Silvester

Definitely both (as Michael said.) Don't submit the same article though. Tweak one of them.

You can get a lot of mileage out of one good article if you do a bit of spinning and rewriting.

Submit your article to Ezinearticles first. It takes them several days to approve your article. You can build a Squidoo lens for your article next, but be sure to make at least 3 modules so you will be included in Squidoo's search feature. Both of these places can land you on the first page of Google. Here is another tip. Create a link from your Squidoo lens to one of your articles at Ezinearticles, but don't link to the same article.

Even though Squdoo has a higher page rank you will probably get more traffic from ezinearticles.

All great advise. Thanks guys.
Another question .. I'm sure I'll have a lot.
I tried to put the following link in my ezine description box and it got declined as it's an affiliate link ..

Learn to Love Exercise and Strip That Fat

I'm trying to promote that stripthatfat book ..
It's actually not even an affiliate link, it's a landing page with affiliate links on it. Still disapproved though. Is there any way to cloak the link so the "cb-sabai99" doesn't show up?
I've never made a squidoo lens either, just getting it all set up. It looks as though you're free to include affiliate links anywhere within squidoo though, correct?

Just use any redirect such as index.php in the sub folder of your website:
websitename/affiliateproduct/index.php

<HTML>
<?php
header('Location:youraffiliatelink');
?>

Quick question guys, i have never used Squidoo before.

How effective is it in driving traffic as compared to Ezine, who does a great job provided your article is of quality.

Please advise.

Many thanks in advance.

If your page looks too much like it's written just for affiliate marketing, they'll reject it. You might direct them to a hub page or a blog entry or a web page that leads them to the page you're currently pointing at.

A lot of people are using Squidoo so you have to do a lot of social marketing on your lens and / or find a really unique angle/niche without too much competition in order to get good rankings. It's still going to provide you with useful backlilnks, etc. but I wouldn't count on it being a huge moneymaker unless you're doing other things with it such as pointing to it fro EZA and other article sites, etc OR unless you nab a niche with very little competition.

Cheers,
Dana

You should use squidoo. It will rank faster, better and they allow affiliate marketing. You can then submit articles to ezine and other article directories.. they should all link to your squidoo lens.

Elegant, simple and clean Landing Page Templates for just $7.

Definitely both! Submit the original to Ezine articles and re-write it for Squidoo.
