Why passion and product creation go hand in hand... at least in MY mind
"When creating a product, ignore what you like or are passionate about, and find out where the money is at."
This seems like a really REALLY negative mindset, and it seems to also induce people to spend a TON of time researching to find the "Magic Niche". I'm a HUGE believer in the power of the mind and it seems as though this seriously neglects your minds power, and pushes towards your minds logic, which is not nearly as influential. Passion & Determination vs Logic & Knowledge - I'll take passion and determination.
In my mind: Passion is a STATE OF BEING as well as determination. On the other hand, logic and knowledge are both end products of other results and actions.
Personally - when I create my products, I think of topics that are interesting to me. I then write on a topic I am passionate about, because I feel that's the only way to create a product that is TRULY valuable. If you don't even enjoy what you are writing a product about, how in the world do you expect the people reading it to be passionate about what they're reading?
You can try as hard as you want, but I feel that if you aren't passionate about a topic, it will come through in the writing and be somewhat obvious by the quality of the end product. However if you write about something you know a LOT of information about and have a passion for, then I think that the creative juices in your brain tend you pull you through the process and have you end up with a much more polished product.
I mean, some people think what they are passionate about might not have any money in it, or a market to market to. The internet is huge. Almost ANYTHING you could possibly ever be passionate about has a market you can sell it to online, you just have to find it and know how to find those markets and expose weak niches that are yours to solidify as money making instruments.
Just my two cents, thoughts appreciated and welcomed!
