Hello, i have a bunch of online business's but i always handle my own billing via my merchant accounts, and i run my own affiliate programs. However i am finally going to launch my first clickbank product centered around the fitness niche, and i want to get some feedback from vendors,

How do you attract affiliates from CB?

How do you get it to rank high in the marketplace?

Affiliates seem to be the be all end all of whehter a product is successfull in CB but assuming my product converts well and is wanted, how do i get it seen to there affiliate base? are there any tools, or places i can advertise that are oriented for CB or on CB itself?

    Attracting Affiliiates:
-First, offer a sizeable affiliate percentage (seems like 75% is the market rate).

-Second, try to get connected with admin/mods of top fitness forums (like Bodybuilding.com, any P90x forum, etc.) In fact, I'd offer them an additional bonus above the standard affiliate rate to generate some solid traffic/buzz. In reality, it might be in your best interest to give one of these top forum owners a 100% rate (they make 100% of the sale price). While this may sound crazy, trust me, it will be beneficial in the longrun (but only do it with one forum owner).

    Ranking High
This is another sticky factor. To rank high, you need a large volume of sales within the recent time period. To do this, I would "launch" the product. Generate some buzz/promotion before putting it to market, and have a firm launch date. When this launch date hits, the pent-up sale tension will result in a surge of sales on the launch week. This will get your sales ranking high and make it look like a viable product for Clickbank affiliates to market.

I would suggest if you were successful running your own affilaite program, then the same success you created with that would be virtually parallel with CB??? Once you get gravity on CB, then you will begin to get noticed. Adjusting your commissions to be favorable like 75% might be in your interest.

I could be wrong? I run my own affiliate program as well, but I have read a bit on CB marketing. The biggest key is attention and how you draw attention to it.

affiliates want conversions, high commissions, tool/creatives that helps them make the sale.

Affiliates will not promote, a program that has lousy conversions and low commissions.
