Just Finished My Fee Ebook To Get Subscribers - What's Next

Okay,

So after working on this for three weeks, I've finally finished my free ebook that people will get when they give their name and email address when they come to my website, so I can stop the nonsense of throwing subscribers away. I haven't been writing any more articles at all for the past month because it'd be a HUGE waste of time having people come visit my site without any opt-in page to capture subscribers.

So now I ask, what's next?

1) How do I copyright my ebook so no one will steal what I wrote? How much does that cost?

2) I'm not artistic and I suck at Photoshop, so how do I make a proper cover for my e-book? I already used an ebook template for my ebook that I received from a site that someone had posted on here, but I have no idea what to put as a cover nor do I know how to make a 3-D cover for my ebook to put an opt-in box.

3) I still only have a working title, nothing final yet. How does this sound: FINALLY - How to Overcome EVERY Obstacle Standing in Your Way of the Law of Attraction: Proven Methods on How to Get out of Your Own Way

4) Is it very hard to design an opt-in box?

Any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated.

Since you have spent so much time on writing it, I would suggest hiring a member of the Warrior Forum (there is a WSO) to design your site and get everything up and running.

A poorly designed site will result in zero subscriptions no matter how much advertising you do.
If your money is tied up in other areas now (I'm putting a positive spin on things as I realize how you speak about money is VERY important) what would be another option to hiring someone on here?

Where could you find such a WSO, I still would like to check it out.

If you have no experience with graffics don't try to do it yourself.

Check the "Warriors for Hire" section.

There are great graffic designers and they are not expensive.

First of all, congratulation that you finished your e-book. I see you have put a lot of time in it.

          Regarding your questions,

I do not think you need to concentrate so much on design effect. I would suggest that you start with a simple subscription box, so that you can start to build a list as soon as possible. People really do not care in what kind of cover your e-book will be. More important is the message and the content.

Later, when you will see the subscribers coming in, you can pay $20 to designer (you can find them here in WF) and get all this done.

          Regarding your name,
I think it is very complicated and broad. You need to create a title, which directly addresses the main problem of your audience, as "Overcome every obstacle" say nothing to me.

You need to be as specific as possible. First of all, you need to ask - what is the main challenge of my visitors or prospects? What they really want?

Then you can build the title around that challenge or problem. For example, if people want to lose weight, then you can say - "Find out how you can lose 20 pounds within 90 days without diet and torturing yourself on treadmills"

I know it sounds very complicated, but this is how it is. Check out in the forums where your potential customers are hanging out and see what they are really looking for.

Regarding the subscription box, it will be easy as your auto responder company will provide it for you.

I hope this helps you a bit,
Thanks a lot! I'm still new to the whole IM game and so it's been challenging how to write good titles, I'm still learning how to master that area. Also $20 ain't a lot of money at all, I'll look into that, but it's a relief to hear that I don't have to worry about the design attributes.

When it comes to help with design, websites, etc...you might want to consider a partnership. You have to share the benefits, but you can find someone to help you promote in areas that aren't the strongest for you.

You can also check out 99designs.com...they're great for design and relatively cheap. They'll give you quite a few options to choose from.

Bit random but right now I got two squeeze pages running and the one without an image of my free report is converting 10% higher than the one with the image.

If it's going to slow you down ... forget it and add the images later.

Plus not too long ago I found a 63% plus converting squeeze page in the WSO section from Tony Shepherd for free which is a good starting point. Just put that baby up today to see how it works out.

About copyright ... worry about it later. If someone's going to steal and copy your stuff I think they'll do it regardless and you'll never even know about it.

About your title - again you can have two variations on your squeeze page and use something like Google Optimizer to test the them and see what converts best. It's dead easy to use (cut and paste job) and they have some good explanations on where to insert the code.

I agree with Peter about your headline ... a bit astract and not specific enough. If there's something unique about your book that makes it different (easy, faster etc) try adding it.

Your opt-in box will be provided by your auto-responder host and they usually have good training (again a cut and paste job).

Hey guys, thank you much for your feedback.
Creating titles has been a weak point for me, so I'm working on MASTERING the fundamentals of creating EFFECTIVE titles. I went to Steve Pavlina's forum and was pleased to find out that my instincts were SPOT ON and that my book addresses all the problems that plague people.

      How do these titles sound?

      2) Discover How to Remove ALL the Mental Clutter Standing in Your Way of Attracting Wealth and Happiness.

You dont need to hire anyone if youre on a shoestring (which Im assuming you are). There are some freeze squeeze page templates to be found on this forum. Just put in your optin form, Compelling title, and a strong call to action. The squeeze page and lead magnet is the easy part. The hard part is driving the targetted traffic. Goodluck!

Wait, I thought a squeeze page and an opt-in were the same thing. What is the difference between the two?

Not exactly sure but I think this is the difference...

Opt-in - the actual box that asks for name and email. It is usually a block of html code that your autoresponder gives you and you can simply plug into your site.
Squeeze Page - complete page containing your sales copy, pictures, and opt-in form

So mudbutt is saying you have to insert your unique opt-in html code into the squeeze page template.

To me a squeeze page is a landing page that is designed to capture your 'visitors' details, such as name and email address. They are single page sites and can contain text, audio and/or video.

They should be focussed solely on getting the visitors details. There should be no distractions or links to anything.

A splash page is much the same, but very fast loading and containing minimal information. The information that you do include must be attention grabbing, to ensure that you get your visitors all important name and email. An alternative is to forget the opt in box, but give short attention grabbing information and a 'click here now' type link which will take them to your squeeze page (which has more information and your opt in box).

Splash pages are for use on particular advertising systems such as traffic exchanges, where visitors have only a limited time frame to view your page.

Needless to say, whatever page you use, you need a good incentive (bribe) to get your visitor(s) to part with their name and email!

      Just my thoughts,

      Jeff.
