    As in i would just continue doing business as usual. It's a pretty standard response from them, so I wouldn't take any additional action or make thought of it.

    This is the standard letter you receive from EZA to let you know your article has gone live. (I couldn't tell from your question whether you already knew that or not.)

    Anyway, you don't have to do anything. But if you want to monitor how it performs while it is fresh, you could:

    1) Do a google search for your keywords and see if your article shows up in the results.

    2) Monitor your article stats on the article reports page under article tools, to see how many views and click-throughs it gets

    3) View a different article in the same topic category, and look for your article in the Most Recent section, and monitor how long it stays there. (I usually look at some other author's old article, so I don't inflate my own stats every time I refresh.)

    In highly competitive categories, articles might only stay fresh for a couple of hours. You need to discover, for your niche, how long you can expect your newly-live article to draw traffic merely because of its newness.

      Thanks for the responses everyone. I will continue as usual and keep shooting for the sky. And I have had an account with them for a while but never received such message. I created a new account because there was an issue with my old account. And then I submitted one article and was waiting on it to get approved when I received that message from them.

        There are a few different business lessons here.

        * most people are excited to be 'annointed' as an expert author. Think about how this 'bonds' the writer to Ezine articles, especially if they don't realise that it's a canned response and goes out to everyone (well almost everyone - perhaps it got lost in a spam trap for those who say they never got it?)

        * they immediately send you an 'expert author' button (in html) to put on your website. Most people are keen to show off their new-found 'expertise' on their site. The button contains a link-back to ezine articles - how do you think they got high PR and became the most successful article directory?

          It's an automated email from EZA once your article get accepted. I normally don't do anything and keep on cranking out more articles to submit. Of course, you can always hop over the the live article just to make sure it's there.

          Thanks for the help, and of course what you say is very true. Just wandered if it was a standard response or not because as stated earlier, I have had an account with them for a while, but haven't received such message. This is a very good marketing technique though, and I think all of us can learn this method for our own email campaigns.

            Hi Createyouwealth,

            You can sum up the most important part of their strategy like this -

            The internet in it's most basic form is mechanical and unfriendly and unemotive.

            Therefore if you access peoples' emotions and make it personal, friendly and rewarding you build better relationships and your brand becomes indelibly imprinted in peoples' memories.

            Particularly for new(ish) people online, the first time that they communicate with a big website and get a response that is less robotic and more typically human (even if it IS automated) they get a buzz and the website in question gets stamped in their memory.

            You can apply this theory across any kind of website that communicates and profit from it. Go the extra mile in your communication to tap emotions and appear human and you will have an edge - and again I would point out that even if you only have to write it once and then place it into an automated system - it still works.

            I see SO many sellers who fail in this area because they are so busy throwing the 'brown stuff' at the wall that they forget that they are dealing with individual human beings.

            Edit - to elaborate just a bit more - the best way to use these tactics are in terms of being nice, kind and friendly - as long as you remember the KEY which is to tap into peoples' emotions - in other words, you need to make something spark up in their emotional circuit, because these events are memorable in comparison to the multitude of events that occur which are stupefying, electronic (inhuman) and dull.

            In this particular case they activate the 'pride' (ego) circuit, which works a treat - 'Hey! This huge article website with thousands of authors thinks that *I* am an expert! - Wowzers!'

            But it's not confined to being nice, kind and friendly. If you are teaching people, then there are times for this approach, but there are also times where it's important to skillfully and carefully give someone a short, sharp, shock. If you have developed trust over time and people know that you have their best interests at heart, then you are in an ideal position to offer some 'tough love.'

            This can have exactly the same effect - when you 'fire someone up' you are also activating their emotions and if the resulting action they take is a positive one, again - their memory banks will associate that event with your input. But this is more risky and should be used sparingly and wisely as the potential for damage is greater.
