How does Aweber count subscriber numbers for the purpose of billing?

Hi,

Just wondering how Aweber counts the total number of subscribers in an account for the purposes of billing.

Does it count people that have unsubscribed as well?

If so, how do you guys manage this? Do you have to manually remove people from the list that have unsubscribed?

cheers,

Spudnick

Yes, Aweber counts also unsubscribers. I manually clean my lists from time to time to avoid paying more than I should.

Unfortunately if you clean up all the unsubscribers, you will mess up your statistics. But if you don't worry about your aweber stats that much, clean up, you may save a few dollars a month.

I clean out my unsubs all the time. And why would they bill you for people you cannot mail to? I don't get that!

For stats purposes - you should be able to track unsubs but paying for people that aren't actually on your list anymore is dumb (imho).

If I didn't clean out my unsubs, I would be paying over 3 times what I am paying now.
