I advice you setup a few campaigns with low bids (50% of recommended bid) and see if you get any impressions. If you don't you slowly increase the bids, until you see some impressions. You then wait until you get about 100 clicks to see if your ad/offer is profitable. If not, start again with different ad or offer.

It's all about testing it out and experimenting.

There are loads of good info on the forum about Facebook marketing. Just search for it.

I'll try it out yet I'd rather pay a professional, I'm sure that way I'll get a better ROI.

The key to good FB PPC advertising is to streamline your keywords and demographics you are targeting.... Find out which KW's are profitable on the cheap and then scale up what works and always cut the fat... Don't be in keywords or markets because you 'think' you should be... FB PPC is a very results orientated science... Find out what works and scale

Hey,
I've been running CPA offers on facebook and my experience is to always start on CPC.
Yes, that will take a couple of $ to test if your ad converts but, in my hands, starting with CPM can be WAY more expensive.

If you are looking for a good tutorial on facebook ads, you might want to check the products by Johnathan Volk and/or Jani G

I just got FB Siphon by Jani G and its a really good course showing Facebook Ads, I suggest you try that out because he's got 5 free pretty much copy and paste templates that are really easy to implement and are converting for me.
