typo domains and keywords

Hey
Have any of you had any look driving traffic to your offers by targeting typo keywords or buying domains with typos is them

I know this will never bring in big bucks but its something I was looking at the other day

    I make a lot of typos on my website - not on purpose but just because I sometimes get lazy and don't spell check.

    And from looking at my stats, a portion of my traffic comes in from keywords where folks made the same typo as me.

    So it will get you traffic.

    But google does tell people when they make a typo and gives them an opportunity to correct it by clicking on a link at the top of the organic results.

    With google, it is hard to tell if they are just trying to be helpful or if they are trying to discourage folks from using typos as a way to generate traffic.

    It was just something I was looking into
    I checked a few typos of youtube.com but they where all taken
    Not a big surprise but might look into it a bit more
