Multiple Language WP Sites?

Has anyone here set up multiple language sites on with Wordpress, so that one can switch from one language to the other on it? If so how did you do it?

So far, the solution that comes to me is to use a plugin allows visitors to switch themes, using separate themes for each language. I haven't tested this idea yet.

Needless to say, translation plugins offer inferior barely-coherent translations at best.

There are many languages that don't translate well with English which is why there are human translators... but a translation plugin can give you a good enough translation that it is readable...so you can get the gist of the idea that is attempting to be conveyed.

Yes, I do have one site that uses a translation plugin...little flag up in the corner...Wordpress Global Translator. It allows you to choose the languages that you want to offer too. Pretty nifty!

I didn't articulate very well. I meant websites that have already been translated into more than one language and a way of switching from one language to another.

I wasn't referring to translations programs which, from what I see, may translate into something that at best can be understood but still produces skewed and weird syntax.
