Do You Recognize These Sites?

I was going through one of my sites in analytics and saw a decent amount of traffic coming from these sites.

My affiliate program is not up and running and I'm curious why I'm getting traffic from these sites.

Anyone with an idea?

Harlan

Three of those are traffic exchange sites. They also have banner programs and text ads among other things. That you are getting traffic from them is just another example that traffic exchange sites still work. Some are perhaps obsolete but a good bunch more have renovated themselves and have evolved at the same pace as the net.

You always have and always will get traffic from a site like those. But TRAFFIC IS BAD! NOBODY WANTS TRAFFIC! You want VISITORS. So the question is is the traffic simply cars, or are PEOPLE actually stopping to SHOP!?!?

Some of them are spending time on site.

Still don't know how traffic is getting to me from those sources.

I've never registered at those sites.

When I think of "traffic exchanges" I think of those phony traffic generators that people don't even have to click on to generate a "visitor". Icky.

Many chinese and other proxies always visit my site and send referrer site as some spam looking site.
Although I haven't seen any of above sites in my awstats , may be they are also the proxies visiting your website and sending fake referrer info trying to hack your site or trying to get visitor to the referrer site.
