Add a message board to a sales page?

I have a few start a ___ business sales pages.

Seems I get the same questions from customers each day.

I'm thinking of adding a message board where I can interact with prospects. Answer questions, show I'm accountable, show I truly do support my ebooks and respond quickly.

What's the best software solution?

I created a message board (phpBB) but it does require registration.

I thought about facebook, but do facebook "walls" work well for large question/answer sessions?

Maybe there's a third option I can install on the website and keep my website design (ie, not send the customers to a third party website).

Can the BB use an "anonymous" logon? I currently use SimplePress on my WordPress-driven site and it works pretty well.

Remember this: Your sales page has one target - moving your prospect to the order button and getting them to order your product. The more distractions you place along that path, the less likely that your prospect will ever make it to the order button.

Get your prospect detouring to a message board and they'll most likely be lost forever. Major distraction.

Myself, I'd take those frequently asked questions and put an FAQ on your sales page or work the questions into your copy.

That is SO true! I like your suggestion of trying to answer (anticipate the questions) in the sales copy itself.

I would definitely not do this on a sales page. The main goal is to get your visitors to hit the order button... not the post reply button

You could make your sales page a blog then monitor comments

Even put some of the more common questions in yourself
