Bev has a great idea. What if he set up a program where he shared his affiliate link for some programs, like hostgator and we could all write an article or do something to promote his link. Even if someone set up a site with his affiliate link to something residual, we could all send traffic to it as a thank you.

Morning Folks!

We've done it - thanks to Allen and our members at the Warrior Forum, we met the goal in a mere 5 days - Warriors are freaking awesome!

I know you've all got some great ideas for continuing this, but I have to defer to Michael and what he would want to do. That said, I'm asking him to pop in as soon as he can and let you know where to go from here.

Meanwhile, I'm going to mark the thread closed as the original goal was met and Michael's last comment to me was that this met his needs for resolving the issues he was having.

However, for those of you who would really like to continue helping, one obvious possibility would be to promote his Africhef sales page - linking to it, driving some traffic to it and so forth.

I did the "save our Mary" subscription for a year but never heard how she went. That was a bit amiss I think to be honest here.

We finished up at $17K and change (I think - that's from memory). I had written up and posted about this in the old WF's "How this forum can make you $50K or more thread" to bring closure to it and keep it visible.

I'll leave it to Mary herself to post on her own personal outcome, but as she's still around, creating products and marketing like a madwoman, LOL, I'd say that the efforts the members made to help her paid off

I'm just waiting for PayPal to finish the transaction log so I can post the final numbers. As I did with Mary's, I'm off to my accountant to get the numbers validated and forwarding the info to Michael and Allen. Then I'll pull together a report and post it here in the WF for everyone to see how their efforts paid off.

You've all done such a tremendous thing this week and made an enormous difference in the lives of a family in our community. As I said in my OP, maybe we can't change the state of the global economy, but by God, we stood up up together and made a difference for one of our own!

Hey Shaz,

Nothing amiss here. I've been about as public as I can about what's going on with me considering. Matter of fact, I wrote the whole story in a piece of sales copy for a Joomla special (I think it was) I ran not that long ago, and how this forum, Allen, Mike, and the members of NM helped save my life (literally), and how every penny I make online goes to paying current medical costs.

Am I cured? Nope, not a chance of that, but I can say that at least I have a running start at paying the medical bills to keep my treatments going. That's about $150K a year so far over and above insurance, and trust me, I don't make that with my offline salary.

I make that because of people like you, and the rest of the gang here, everyone's knowledge, and willingness to share ... and their fighting spirit that kept me encouraged, and made me who I am today.

I don't say much about me still being sick because I don't like to play that type of a hand if you know what I mean.

That'd be like spunging off the hand that fed me when I needed it the most, and still feeds me.

Plus there are other factors to consider that I can't disclose publicly.

But if people must know, I still am getting my blood and bone mass built up (which is neverending), and transfusions once in a while when I over do things.

Can I live a normal life? About as normal as someone can get.

Btw, if I ever gave you or anyone else the impression that that fundraiser went amiss, I am sorry you felt that way, and I hope none of you feel that way from now on.

Like I said, if it wasn't for everyone pitching in I wouldn't be alive to tell about it. And for that I am eternally grateful!

Anyway, I hope this clears matters and/or any misconceptions regarding me.

On another note ...

This is Michael's thread, and I hope you keep doing for him like you've all done with me. I know what this means/meant to him, and I cried with him because of the outpouring love both of us experienced here.

I also want to congrate each one of you who pitched in to help us both.

You are remarkable people!
