Office 2010 BETA. Still working - why?

I downloaded the Microsoft 2010 BETA version from Microsoft a couple of months ago. It seems like it's the fully functioning suite. I suppose I assumed it had an expiration date, especially now since the official 2010 version has been launched.

Anybody know how this works? Am I using a scaled down version or what? Is it going to quit working on my computer all by itself in the near future?

  October will be here soon enough. Maybe there'll be a beta version of Office 2011 released and we can upgrade to that for free? :p

  Why pay for Office when you can get OpenOffice for free? Are there any real advantages on using Office?

  Yes Office (real version) is tried and tested, it is also an office standards to use.
  
  It comes with brilliant support and has massive capabiities.
  
  That is just a scrapping of the reason.

  I love open office - It doesn't look as good as the MS office suite though IMHO.

  While OpenOffice is good, MS Office is just superior in so many ways and worth the investment, in my opinion.
  
  But...to keep on the free side of MS Office for as long as possible, once the beta is over with, download the trial version for another 2 months of free use.
