How To Get Sales From Cheapskates ??

Ok so im #1 with my niche and always on page 1 or 2 for lots of related keywords. My main site is a ecommece site for items in the $5 to $8 range and it does on avg anywhere from $200-$400 on physical products.

Now im complementing my site with a blog and using affiliate banners. How do you convert cheapskates into sale? Even though the ads are something they would by at a reg mall store they dont seem to like to click on the ads let alone buy? What would you do to change this....if anything

Kind of hard to sell to people who don't have money to buy what you're selling, no?

How do you know they're cheapskates? Because if they are, that's your problem. But it doesn't mean that's the reason they're not buying (unless you have evidence that says otherwise).

Offer downsells. Also, boost your conversion rates with split testing addtions.

  • Are these your own physical items you're selling, or ones that you're promoting as an affiliate?

One thing I'd suggest is to work out which sections of the site make the money and focus on those. Remove the choice. You can do well with just two different types of advertising.

If it's your own stuff, offer a Deal Of The Day, or something time limited to encourage people to pay. Collect email addresses from the visitors, or even physical addresses if it's worthwhile sending them something free through the mail. That way you can keep them informed about the offers, so they come back to visit more often.

I agree with Scott above, it's hard to sell to people who don't buy regardless of reasons.

Quit wasting time with people who don't buy and look for people who do.

The products are my own cd's of music (copyright ok) and the affilite banners are like items within my genre (clothes, glasses shoes etc)....they would buy this stuff in the mall no problem they just dont buy online LOL

Any type of banners that pay like adsense on just via clicks and not orders or sales?
