I couldn't figure out HOW to use it. I kept scratching my head and going "it's... um... what is this for?"

It just seemed like a bunch of neat technology we didn't need. It was like a collection of things I already had, wrapped up in a new interface that didn't work the same way, so they were basically saying "here, learn this interface that will ultimately give you nothing you don't already have." What? Why? I'm supposed to waste my time learning this to get what I've already got? No thanks.

It is become a dark town full of trouble, there is no ease in its streets, beauty has left it and the old songs are gone." - Lord Dunsany, The Messengers

I have had it since beta. They are working on perfecting it. Don't worry, Google doesn't give up easily.

When you hear someone telling you what YOU can't do, they are usually talking about what THEY can't do.

If only they would just drop the pedophile/troll/asshat used sidewiki, as well.

This doesn't surprise me in the least...

Coming from a strong mathematical background, I have many friends who pursued a B.S.E degree and looked at Google as the holy mecca of everything awesome.

As clever as most of my friends are, I find them greatly naive. Google is not invincible, this was apparent when they closed down shop here in Phoenix a few years ago....

But even before then... when they originally came to Phoenix - they had no idea of what the purpose of their site was, or what they should create. Just a disaster waiting to happen...

I guess that is what Innovation is all about. I'm not a google fan but it sure has made life much easier. Mostly by experimenting and trying out new stuff.

What you make doesn't always work, but if its different and it works, it makes CA$H

I'm not particularly surprised that GWave's fate and I'm not even sorry, but the lesson there is, that by trying out new things, we can branch out in different directions and create new empires. If White Brothers didn't try something totally insane at the time, we wouldn't have long metal tubes that take people to places flying in the skies, called Airplanes.

    My 2 cents
